My Sister took me to Garcia’s
Restaurant it was already lunch time, so I decided to get the Chicken Fried Steak it was on their menu didn’t feel like eating tacos it was the biggest mistake and the worst lunch I had in all my life I couldn’t even eat it took almost an hour to before they serve us and the meat was rancid do not eat it Chicken Fried Steak in that Restaurants that are known for their good tacos makes me wonder what kind of meat do you serve in your tacos the do the customers a favor take it of the menu
first and last time.

My family has been eating here for almost 50 years. Highly recommend the brisket tacos, the enchiladas and carne guisada.

We love Garcia's will travel from Austin to SA just for their breakfast.

Been going there for generations. I always make sure I make a stop there when I arrive in San Antonio.

The best brisket taco you will find in san antonio and south texas just amazing. Great fideo Loco as well on Wednesday. Enchiladas also great . Any plate or taco you have here you will love . Great place to eat in San Antonio no matter where you live it's worth the drive.

Another phenomenal visit under my ever expanding Garcia’s belt. This is my 10th year going here and they’ve remained my absolute favorite taco joint/Mexican food anywhere in the country. Today I ordered my 3 tacos to go and despite the fact that it was dead-center of the lunch hour, I was in, placed my order, and on my way in under 10 minutes. My ride or die taco order: machacado, puerco con chili, and the nationally acclaimed brisket and guacamole - they’ll make you see Jesus! AND, the bonus, being served by my FAVE server, Juanys. The location is small, the ambiance quirky, the service excellent, an ever present well-paced line, and the most amazing food. Go there!!!!

What a bad experience today at Garcias restaurant, we felt discriminated against because they put us on a waiting list just for me and my husband and we waited like 15 minutes and they went right after us to a table of 4 and we said hey we're right after them and the lady told us you have to wait if you want to come in we don't have small tables and we were outside in the sun waiting, we were discriminated against just because we were two people and they didn't have small tables😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡

Garcias is extraordinary, starting with the friendly waitstaff. I almost order the same thing for lunch, brisket taco and cheese enchiladas with chile con carne on top. These dishes never disappoint. Everything about this place is primo. There's often a wait but it's worth it. I appreciate that they've maintained top quality service and food for as long as I've eaten there. It's really hard to be consistently delicious, but they've done it. My favorite Tex-Mex is San Antonio.
