Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

Love this chicken, you can't go wrong by eating here! 🙂

Great non-chain place serving great chicken! While family thought the chicken was great and we liked the fried okra and seasoned fries.

The food was excellent. It's plain old fried chicken but done right. I would give the service six stars if I could. There was no line due to a rainy day (or so I was told that it gets crazy busy). Really good place to eat and they validate your parking for 60 minutes or less. The Arlond Palmer was amazing (likely due to their tea). Can not find anything to nit pick at all really. All in all a must try if you ask me.

Amazing fried chicken. Got my food way faster than expected. This is gonna become a regular stop. Waiter was Amazing, I wish I remembered his name because he knocked it out of the park.

We ordered the 8 piece chicken and fries. The fries had too much salt. The chicken was tender and falling off the bone. Really good. We got there at 2-ish. While the server was good, friendly and observant, they were serving a lot of tables so it took awhile for our orders to be taken. And then it took so long for our food to be served. The server told us there was a change of shift. It took so long that we went over the one hour free validated parking, not to mention we were starving already when we got there.

It’s really good a little spicy , just a kick but the taste is delicious!!! Don’t like the fact there’s no free parking . First time I tried it got charged $10 more just for 5 min after the hr . Other than that it’s good. First time took like an hour to be served , this time about 20 min .

The chicken was perfectly juicy and crisp. The mac and cheese and fries were sooo good. The only thing I wish was that they had a non spicy option. The seasoning was delicious, but I cant handle spice for too long. But still, I will definitely be going again.

Parking: The lot is paid but they will validate parking for an hr.

Tried it, was good but won't be rushing to go back. It was just ok.

The food was absolutely delicious. Our first time there and will definitely be going back. The chicken was crispy! Every bite makes you want more…

The parking is the only thing I didn’t like. You can get your ticket validated but make sure to not exceed an hour!!!

GO EAT THIS FOOD!!!! If you are in town.
There is nothing fancy about it, and that is what makes it such good food.

The regular rootbeer float is made with A & W and is delicious.

Parking is not free for 1.5hr!!!!!
Food took forever to come out after ordering and when I went to leave parking lot I had to pay 15$ in order to be allowed to leave.
Yes parking tkt was validated but only good for 1hr; even 1 minute more and you will pay 15$ to be allowed to exit.
Went back to Gus’s for assistance twice, but manager was of NO help or assistance and refused to help saying “not her issue take it up with parking lot company” when it was Gus’s fault for taking so long with my 1 person order!!!!!!
17.60(3piece chicken) +15$ to park makes NO chicken with that price over 30$!!!!
Anything over 1hr=15$ no matter the reason even if Gus’s took to long you will be made to pay to exit and don’t expect any help from management or employees.

This place has decent chicken but beware cause it has got some spice! It was delicious tho and not too oily. I do prefer the coating on my chicken to be crisper and flakier though, so it wasn't my favorite here.

I also loved the sides. I got coleslaw and beans which were done my favorite way... Nice and sweet!
