I visited Hill Country Café twice for breakfast, and while the food was fine and the atmosphere was okay, the service was seriously disappointing.
On the first day, they got my kids’ order wrong, and we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for the corrected meal—definitely not ideal when you are eating with kids. Hoping for a better experience, I ordered a to-go breakfast the next day, requesting a simple cheese omelet. Unfortunately, one of the omelets ended up with bacon, which was not what I ordered.
Our rare disease nonprofit chose this hotel as an event venue for our first conference. We brought them over $50K in revenue, and there were a host of issues: -The WiFi was abysmal in the whole place. Our event was to have complimentary WiFi, and this was not provided until we were halfway through the agenda. None of our devices were hardwired in as planned, leading to last minute conversion of files etc. -Bad communication from start to finish. There were numerous errors in our BEOs that were never corrected because we could not count on a response from this staff. Hotel (Elsie) called me in a panic about a panel session they “didn’t know about” when we had emailed previously about this specific session. Overall, no attention to detail causing it to be extremely stressful on our team to work with them. -We were given a $6,800 bill after a welcome reception that served fewer than 1/3 of our 88 guests. Spent $25K on food overall which was lacking in quality and quantity. Again, severe lack of communication on the hotel’s part with our staff about quantities and pricing, and little willingness to work with us on an agreeable resolution.
Expensive breakfast buffet with little selection. Food options I tried were not worth it.

Excelente servicio de todo el personal en especial bianca, muy agradable ambiente esta larga semana. Muy bonita experiencia
Nothing about food or service...Description should include that it's in a hotel.
This place is a dump! At check in my card kept declining. Turns out it was something wrong with the machine but how embarrassing as there was a line of people behind me. Finally get my tired, crying kids to the room and the guy gave us wrong room number so key wouldn’t work. Pools are gross. Rooms aren’t clean. Air vents have dust hanging out of them, rust around sinks, bathtubs. There is a hole in our bathroom wall. Coffee maker didn’t work, brought another one up and it didn’t work either. I let my son crawl on the room floor for just a few minutes while I was getting dressed and his legs were black.(I attached pic) They don’t shuttle to Sea World anymore so you have to pay to park here, plus pay to park at Sea World. . I will never ever stay here again. I expect more from a Hilton.
Really great buffett lots of selection. The Omelette station with ground jalapeños were the best I ever had. Service was excellent and everyone very friendly and helpful.
Extremely rude staff, bad internet service, food is terrible and it's HOT - a/c does not work throughout the hotel. When report was made to the manager, his response was that HE was comfortable. Very disappointed.

"We love the location being so close to sea world, and the property is absolutely beautiful inside. We also liked the ambiance inside and sitting by the fire at the Hill Country Cafe having an awesome breakfast!" Lisa and Chris R.
great customer service ...awesome personal
Great venue and event staff
This location is very nice. The staff was helpful and polite. I stayed for business but it felt like a vacation. This is definitely a place I would revisit in the future.
My small child brought me a handful of mystery unmarked pills during our stay here. She found them spread all over our hotel floor. No one at the hotel was able to help us. I was told multiple times a manager would call me, they never did. Finally after multiple follow ups on my part I was able to speak to someone that assured me I would be refunded. Month later still haven’t seen that refund. Have followed up twice since that phone call. Nothing. Extremely disappointing. Don’t stay here if you expect any sort of cleanliness, safety, or customer service.
