Their chicken fried steak is to die for. Cream gravy is real creamy and the fried okra was delicious. Everything is hot and freshly prepared. The only complaint I had was that the waitress was not very good. She did not pre-bus the table and we had to get up and go pay at the register while others just conveniently paid at their table.
I have enjoyed Jim's for much of my adult life ,I believe they serve the Best Mushroom Burger anywhere.The Tortilla soup, fried mushrooms and even their Ice tea is so good. I believe you will never be dissappointed in their food or service.A.
Every time we are in San Antonio, we dedicate at least one morning to eat at Jim's. Our waitress was wonderful. Sweet, attentive, and informative. It was about 9 a.m. when we went in. The full menu is available all day. We were both craving chicken fried steak, but my mother had the lunch plate, and I had the breakfast plate. Both cost around 13 dollars.
