we were a group of 6 and everyone complained about how much spices and pepper were on the food, I ordered shrimp from the kids menu and they were SO spicy I couldn't eat them then I ordered mash potatoes and there was more white gravy then mash potatoes , I didnt want gravy it didnt say that on the menu , even the onion rings were too spicy,I took the breading off and just ate inside , we also ordered a pork chop where the cook put tons of pepper on it and my husband couldn't eat it either. you don't make a childs meal so spicy, it didnt say spicy shrimp , the Cook needs to put the spice jar away, as we left we heard another couple complaining of food being too spicy also, Won't be going there again!! please change the cook or take spices away or that restaurant wont last. The service was nice and the waiter even changes my HOT shrimp for another set and the chef still put hot spice on it ! wow.

Great food and service but dont believe them when they say you won't be charged for parking after you are forced to give a credit card. I validated and was charged anyway. Why force someone to give card details if you're not going to be charged? Sure enough I was charged and had to fix it with Metropolis myself. Never again.

We live outside of SA now and had not been to Josephine Street in about 10 years. We were in central SA today and stopped by for happy hour and an early dinner. We sat at the bar with our awesome bartender Carson! She was so great! Food was still amazing.. chicken fried steak and Chicken Verde 👍 Plus apps were 1/2 price for happy hour. Great visit and we will be back soon… no more 10 year wait!!

Wasn't sure if Josephine St. Was open on a Monday but Caleb deftly handled my call confirming that a spot at the bar had easy viewing of the tv as I was eating solo.
Lulu at the bar was top notch...she easily picked up that I was a first timer and was helpful with some recommendations. Her Manhattan was top notch. She consistently kept an eye on me...
NY strip on the bone was nicely priced and at 10oz...the right size... flavorful and just plain solid. Broccoli was frish and crunchy and the mushrooms were a standout.
The environment was great and the decor was real saloon feel but families were everywhere. I know understand why locals speak fondly of Josephine St!
