Haven’t been to Julian’s in 10+ years but recalled the West Ave location being good. Heard them advertising on the radio so thought my family would stop in the Autry Pond location and wished I have gotten an HEB lasagna instead.
First - place was dead at 5 PM on a Saturday. Usually that’s not a good sign.
Second - I don’t recall them being self-served and ordering at the front counter. Maybe they have always been like that - I don’t recall.
Third - Appetizers - Salads were very small for $9 and the meatballs and fried cheese appetizers came out cold - like refrigerated cold. They were definitely frozen prior and not fresh. I asked them for another order of meatballs and when they came out, the server (maybe manager) said the first order was at the correct temp of 145 degrees even though the cheese on top wasn’t melted and that’s how they’re served. He said it argumentative like I was too stupid to understand the correct temperature of a meatball and turned around and left. OK, I wasn’t rude and didn’t asked for the order to be comped, I just asked that they heat the m-fer’s up because they were cold.
Last - the Alfredo and pepperoni pasta were super bland - no seasoning. The pizzas we order were about 3 star. We got jalapeños on one and they definitely weren’t slices, more like chunks. Nothing special.
Overall, for the price we paid and the quality of food, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Not to expensive, quick and delicious.
Julian's Italian Pizzaria and Kitchen has become one of our absolute favorites! We love their antipasto salads. Aways fresh and generously portioned. Their calzones and strombolis are perfectly baked and full of flavor. The quality and consistency never disappoint. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. Always clean when we are there. We highly recommend if you're craving Italian food.
First time here and we’ll be back. The good was very good. You can smell the good when you walk through the door. Pretty good sized portions. Friendly staff.
Great takeout food. I recommend the meatballs,.... hefty and huge. Three is a whole meal.
Great pizza!
I had a wonderful experience at Julian’s Italian Restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming, authentic feel. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. The food was absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and full of flavor. I especially recommend the lasagna and the tiramisu for dessert. Julian’s is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended!
Jack Riccardi was right, this is a great place to have Italian food. Waitstaff was very friendly and even the manager came by to greet us. Had the chicken piccata and salad and pasta and all of it was fresh and hot and tasty!
We'll be back! Thanks Jack!

Good Italian food and nice clean place. Service was good and staff was nice. Nice outdoor seating with turf which is nice in the 2 days of nice weather each year here in texas...
Went to do a pick up after ordered was paid. Was told another 5 mins, turned into 16 mins and no apologies from the 3 girls serving at the take out area. They knew I was cheesed off, did not say sorry for the wait nor did they THANK ME for waiting or for picking it up. Why do you have teens working with no manners? They are the forefront of your business and it shows the lack of skills set they hold. Wouldn’t want to come to this location and we are treated like rubbish, yes I said it rubbish. No eye contact, no apology, avoiding me at all cost.

Second time here bc i like to give benefit of the doubt. Although I enjoy supporting small business both times pasta ordered was bland and a bit over cooked or like it was sitting on it's water too long. Pasta sauce missing seasoning. The pizza is good though so this will be a place i would only order the pizza from if I visit again.
