We are regular visitors and enjoy the food. Nothing spectacular but a great local eatery.

This place is an absolute hidden gem, I would recommend it to anyone for the exceptional food, service and quality. It was actually the best Spanish food we've had since arriving in San Antonio. I would highly recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself what we are talking about and the prices were fair and reasonable as well as the food portions were great. So put this place on your list you will not be disappointed.

They were very hard working and went above and beyond in order to please us. Javier's biscuits were the best I've ever eaten, and I mean it! They also kept the salsa bar very clean. Which is a difficult thing to do with so many customers! They also kept sweeping the floors and did a wonderful job of cleanliness, service, and great food!I will return!!! Margie O.

Can’t believe after all the years that my family and I have been coming here that I haven’t left a review!! El Taco is our go to Taco Joint when we do our weekend hikes. The tacos are on point for price and size! The staff is wonderful and best of all, the establishment is clean. Everyone I know that lives in Stone Oak knows of El Taco and shares the same views!!

Tell the cooks and cashier not to make customers feel uncomfortable.I usually like to come here to work on homework while eating breakfast. Today I was the only one in the restaurant and the cook kept staring at me and making the cashier laugh while looking at me. I had my headphone on, so I didn't hear anything, but the body language was so loud and obvious that it did catch my eye. It's upsetting because I'm a regular and I tip!As I continued my breakfast, I noticed that whenever a female customer came up to order, the cooks would stare down the female customer and as soon as they turned away the staff would side eye each other and giggle. If you have customers that are willing to support your business maybe, make they feel welcomed and comfortable. Thanks

This is by far the whitest Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The beans and potatoes were the best part of 3 plates. The huevos rancheros sauce was ok, didn't taste authentic. Breakfast tacos are alright, even taco cabana can make those. I recommend the potato and egg. The chicken quesadilla on the other hand, was a no go. They didn't come with beans or rice, only the quesadilla and the little side salad. Flavor was off, I don't know if it's the cheese or how the taste changes with the chicken, but it just didn't taste right. My girlfriend who gets quesadillas 95% of the time said she wouldn't get it from here again and didn't even finish it. What I didn't really like was that the digital menu on the table says there's certain combos available when they aren't even serving them. I paid $40 for 3 people but the food wasn't worth $40. On the bright side, servers were nice and you get unlimited chips and salsa.

A clean taco shop with large breakfast tacos, free chips, a clean salsa bar, and a fresh environment. The owners were bussing the tables after each client left to make sure the tables, chairs, and floor were fresh for the next customer. Will be back every time I come down to visit San Antonio. Thanks to the El Taco owners for delivering an A+ experience.
