Pho. Enough said. Oysters are great try the Thai flavor. Nice place for the family to enjoy seafood. Very spicy

It's a small restaurant and more than half of these tables got their food out late by an hour. On top of that, they only bring out the dishes one at a time. By the time one person in your party gets their food, it maybe 30 mins before another person in the party gets their food, and if you're a 4-top, it may be a full hour by the time the full table has been served in a long, staggered manner. I can't imagine they will stay in business for much longer with this type of service. The employees seemed to be moving at a sloth like speed too so they didn't seem concerned. Last visit to this spot. It's a shame because we liked it when we first opened.

This place is terrible. Overall, it is dirty, very dirty. There were small gnats and fruit flies in and around the drink station feasting on all the filth. There was residue on the walls, the floor and the semi-transparent walls in the kitchen. My wife tells me the bathrooms matched the rest of the place...disgusting. We had some fried oysters and shrimp and the oysters were burnt and tasted terrible. We had also wanted some gumbo and it was never delivered, but instead we were told it was delivered to the wrong table. And they started to redeliver that bowl to us after it sitting there for about 7 minutes. The gumbo was awful and had no flavor at all. Please do yourself a favor and don't go to this restaurant. And I took a look in the kitchen, WOW!! Very dirty!!! I expect this place to be out if business soon.

I've been here more than a handful of times, honestly, the taste of the crawfish is inconsistent. The very first time I had the Cajun spice, extra hot it was perfect and every time there moving forward it was never as spicy and not the same flavor. One of those time they didn't get my order right and they just pour more salty seasoning (with no spice) on it and it was thick like Galveston beach sand. Unfortunately I was not impressed and have given this place enough chances. Not all that.

We dropped by one evening as I'd been wanting to check this place out for a while. There were no customers there when we arrived around 7ish, which was surprising, but eventually a few tables wandered in. Generally, the food was pretty decent and it was an enjoyable experience, except it felt like lots of little details were just kind of half-assed. The communal condiment containers were largely empty and quite crusty, placed too far back on the counter to reach without having to be right up against the messiness of it all, the utensils were of the cheapest, smallest and barely-useable variety (we discovered that soup spoons come in teaspoon sizes), the onions in the pho were cut into large enough chunks to make some pretty hefty onion rings, etc. Overall, just didn't seem like anyone cared too much about the customer experience. The guy manning the register was courteous so no complaints about the service, but someone really needs to step up and address the details that will keep diners coming back. Hopefully they'll get this sorted out before they lose too much repeat business because they have the potential to do really well despite their somewhat out-of-the-way location.

The sauce to go for is the cajun mixed with garlic butter. The hot and sour is like Tom yum but doesn't cling that well. The shrimp are your best bet for max meat per pound but the crawfish are of decent quality - some of them are real big. The andouille sausage is delicious, nice snap and really juicy. Also a great deal. The chicken wings are really well fried and the five spice seasoning is awesome, highly recommend. You will need to drink a bucket of water after eating all the salty sauce

1. We had 2 baskets: shrimp and calamari. It seemed the grease for frying was not hot enough because our food was not crispy but greasy. The shrimp and calamari breading had no flavor. 2. The drink and condiment stand was FILTHY. We showed up at a not busy time right before dinner rush. The overall place itself was dirty, dingy, and fast food-like. 3. The Pho was REALLY GOOD! This is what you want to come here for! 4. The crawfish was crawfish. Ok but nothing special. 5. This places 3 stars are based on the Pho. Spicy and delicious!

What a cool and unique spot to visit during a trip to San Antonio. We were staying at the JW Marriott and yelp led me to this gem only 8 minutes away. Despite being a little hole in the wall type of joint (which is what you want from a seafood boil), everything was clean and new looking. We ordered a pound of crawfish, Cajun Style, crawfish pho, beef pho, hot and sour wings and Cajun wings, and of course a dozen oysters (4 in each flavor - Thai green chili, Korean, and Japanese ponzu). The crawfish was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and great quality crawfish. No duds in the bag. I think I'm more of a purist when it comes to pho. So despite my excitement to try crawfish pho, the beef pho broth was more flavorful to me. The wings were fried crispy and big with a dry rub. The hot and sour was really good, but the Cajun wings were way too salty. And lastly...the oysters. Decent quality for the price and the flavors were genius. The Thai green chili was by far the best and the Korean was the least interesting. Awesome overall experience, the kids had a great time and were free to run around and be kids. The food was excellent and unique. And service was friendly.

I was so excited to try this place. I walked in with a puffed chest expecting to get some amazing spicy food with crawfish and shrimp for days. Instead, I ended up sampling several things from the menu and only moderately liking one thing. It broke my heart to say the least and I wish I had better news to report. But it looks like I'll still be on the hunt for a place that executes this concept a bit better. It wasn't just one thing that made me come to this conclusion but rather nothing really rising above a pretty low standard that I had set. The shrinp I had there was pretty good but nothing special. The fried catfish was just not good and a very hard pass overall due to it being over salted and spiced. Even the best thing I had which was a bowl of magic Cajun rice with crawfish was over salted and over-spiced. And I'm talking about actual spices, not hotness. The service was fine and the wait time was fine but the general consensus was that things were ruined by the spices and just ended up just killing any desire for me to come back in the near future. The decor is pretty basic with wooden tables lined with vinyl covers to keep the mess to an absolute minimum. They even supply the restaurant with paper to place on top of the vinyl so that cleanup is a cinch. That's a nice touch but not much of a crowd bringer when it comes down to a restaurant. I hope that if you stop in and try the food your experience is much better than mine and maybe sometime down the line I'll give them another shot.

I have never been to a place such as LA Crawfish . There was a line and a small wait to order food but to me that is always a good sign of what's to come. I was pleasantly surprised with the cashier, his line was long and I'm sure he had a ton of customers that needed help with their orders just like myself but Elliot greeted myself and family with a warm welcome and calm a demeanor. Let me state the obvious I am not from San Antonio and Elliot's welcome was super refreshing after a 20 -30 minute drive to LA Crawfish. I know Texas is friendly than most states but Elliot customer service far exceeded this Los Angeles natives expectations. Since this was my first time there he assisted me with my order and even said ma'am. Which made me feel old but if the food was good I was okay with it. The food was amazing !!!! I ordered a pound of crawfish and a pound of shrimp with a Cajun seasoning . My family ordered a dozen raw oysters, shrimp with garlic seasoning, rice, lemon pepper wings and another order of spicy chicken wings. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious . My only complaint was it took longer than normal for our chicken to come out but when they did everyone enjoyed them . Thank you LA Crawfish and Elliot for making this SoCal resident feel pleasantly welcomed..

Wifey and I were on a mission to find a new Pho spot to which she advised her and a friend had eaten at LA Crawfish recently and they served Pho......hmmm, a Cajan joint that sells Pho, is that the same as a Chinese restaurant that sells pizza...in my Sesame Street singing voice "one of these things does match the other".....NO, the Pho was supersizing good here. We were greeted immediately by dude behind the counter (not sure if he was part of ownership but he was spot on with his knowledge of the company and food concepts). He gave us the run down on the menu and advised what was what from traditional Cajan basics to crawfish Pho (that's what I ended up ordering). Wifey ordered traditional meatball Pho. My Pho was flavorful and the breath was bomb (come to find out they cook their broth for 3 days after talking with the guy that took our order, cheers to keeping it real fellas). Way more food was served then what we could consume at the restaurant. This isn't the typical Pho spot, but if that's what you are looking for, I suggest this spot. See you guys next time for a bought with your Cajan side. Cheers guys, keep up the quality work-

Visited LA Crawfish today over off TPC Parkway. We tried a fried shrimp basket and 1 pound of crawfish, sausage, and potatoes. Prices were ok, considering they've gotta make rent, which other restaurants in that strip have failed to do. Shrimp basket was $7.99 - 8 shrimp (I think I actually got 10) and waffle fries. It was yummy and a good value. Crawfish was $8.99/# and didn't seem to be seasoned, but you can add all kinds of seasonings/condiments after the fact from their bar. Dip your tails in their butter sauce - poor man's lobster! Each potato was $0.59 and sausage was $1.59 for about a 4" link. Potatoes were good; I wasn't a fan of the sausage. Crawfish satisfied the craving, but you should know that they're not cooking live crawfish to order. It's pre-cooked somewhere else, shipped to them frozen, and then reheated for you. We wouldn't go back for boiled crawfish since we'd rather get it fresh & spicy from someplace else for $6/#, but the rest of their menu is worth a try.

We were very excited to try this place, the menu sounded great, but unfortunately it was not even close. We ordered the "Awesome Garlic Noodles," the "Magic Cajun Rice," and the BBQ Shrimp. The noodles and the rice had good flavor but the shrimp in every dish was SO overcooked, it was inedible. The BBQ Shrimp was impossible to peel (and I am really not impressed with places that batter the outside of the shell, particularly with the heads on!) and I have peeled a ton of shrimp in my life. When you finally got the shell mostly off, the shrimp was mealy and tough and had no flavor. It was truly awful, we could not even eat it. The shrimp in the rice was not quite as bad but still very overcooked. Overall, this was expensive for the portion size, particularly when we couldn't even eat the majority of it. I am happy to pay for good seafood, I love shrimp, but this was a big waste of money. A place that focuses on seafood should know how to cook it. We won't be going back.

I so wanted to like this place more than I did. I've actually been to the original location in Houston! I got the crawfish pho, and then a friend and I shared a pound of crawfish. The pho was not served hot. It was served warm to lukewarm. The basil and bean sprouts were already in the pho, and the lime and jalapeí±os were hanged on the side of the bowl. Didn't seem to be any cilantro, so I had to ask for a side. I think a big pet peeve of mine is when soup dishes aren't served hot. Like I want to feel the heat and have the heat comfort me! Also the flavor was good but really salty. I don't always add lime to my pho, but I had to squeeze all of the juice to balance out the salty, fatty broth. Overall prices weren't bad. It was in between $8-9 for a lb of crawfish. About $8 for the bowl of pho with average portions. Definitely dip your crawfish in the oils and seasoning in the bag, otherwise the crawfish is pretty bland. Doesn't seem to be as good as I remember in Houston. Also don't expect to be serviced here! All the condiments and sauces are at the back. Try this place out, as you may love it. Idk if I'll be back, my overall experience was meh.

This is a smaller location with counter ordering and covered tables to crack and eat crawfish. They offer a wide variety. This isn't your normal crawfish joint. They offer po boys, oysters, chicken wings, pho, and rice bowls. A great variety that will help them stay open year round. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a couple pounds of Cajun style crawfish, shrimp po boy and Japanese ponzu oysters. All of it was fresh and delicious. This place is a must if you like crawfish, oysters or Vietnamese pho.
