This was my second experience with a Le Petite Chef dining event. Comparatively, the San Antonio experience kinda pales a little to my experience at the Manila version. It is gimmicky but in a good way. The food was great (but could they ease up on the baby arugula?) Service was good even though there were only 2 service staff for 40+/- customers. The hostess does help. The attraction is that there is a projected 3D animation on your table of a little tiny chef prepping the meal before each course appears. It is fun and whimsical. We dined at 5:30 pm. Unfortunately, the restaurant was still too bright, rendering the projections a little too washed out. There are a few price points available for the Prix Fixe style dining and is ok for the quality of food, service, and setting. Will recommend for the experience. The Le petite chef Manila was a lot more dramatic, complete with storytelling based on the theme (Arabian at the time we dined), costumed hostess and staff with the setting appropriately decorated. There was also a little audience participation with prizes awarded.

Nice venue and overall good food. The food could definitely come out hotter than what was served (warm) and the soup was the least favorite of the course. Everything else turned out delicious.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY – DISGUSTING FOOD & DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
We were excited for this experience, but it completely missed the mark. In San Antonio, it’s just a small section off the hotel lobby—no privacy, no atmosphere, and loud from nearby events.
Service was painfully slow and the food was disgusting. No one at our table—or nearby—finished their meal. I left hungry. For almost $600, portions were tiny (half a lobster tail), and absolutely flavorless. Everything included micro-greens like they were trying to use up a bulk order. Add seasoning, salt, and pepper—at the very least, put them on the tables.
There were no normal food options for people with seafood allergies who aren’t vegan. A basic chicken or pasta dish would’ve made a huge difference.
The “performance” was a hard listen —the girl reading off cue cards could’ve memorized the few lines to make it feel less awkward.
Between the bad food, poor service, flat atmosphere, and lack of value, this was a complete disappointment. No drinks included, yet a service fee is added automatically.
Do better. Offer allergy-friendly options, improve the food, train your staff, and create an actual experience. Save your money—this was a waste

I had made a deposit to dine and was genuinely looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, on the way there, my car broke down unexpectedly. I immediately called the hotel to explain the situation and ask if it might be possible to reschedule.
The person I spoke with said someone would get back to me, but I never heard anything after that. I understand that emergencies happen and policies are policies, but the complete lack of communication was disappointing, especially after paying a deposit in good faith.
A little courtesy and follow-through would’ve gone a long way.

I have been wanting to go to le petit chef since I saw it advertised and it did not disappoint! It was exactly like I expected it to be with the bonus of great food! The cute animation projections were adorable and had me looking forward to my next dish. The food was seasoned well and were served at great portions to have room for the next thing on the menu. The staff was very tentative and super friendly and kind! I can't wait to go back to experience this again with different menus and maybe bring more visitors with me next time!

The customer service was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious (contrary to my children’s refusal to eat anything past the grilled cheese, fries and dessert) and abundant! My only complaint is that the cost was possibly too high to entertain visiting for the next season/show, though I don’t regret spending what I did this time around because of the uniqueness of the experience.

We had an amazing experience! Friendly staff, beautiful dining room in a historical hotel. The food was absolutely amazing, beautifully paced dinner with an interactive show. We will definitely be returning. The wine paring was immaculate bringing in local Texas wines.

The dining area got pretty warm and stuffy with the doors closed and my husband and I went for date night and even though there were empty tables we were seated next to another couple. It would have been nice since there were empty tables to enjoy our dinner by ourselves. Lastly, the date on the confirmation email resulted in me having to call the hotel to make sure I selected the correct day since the date is in European format vs American. I would recommend either communicating the date difference on the email or tailoring the date to the country for the dinner.
