Los Generales Reviews
As always good food great prices
Enchiladas were dry and tasted old and hard
Ordered a chilaquiles taco that was served open faced, with lukewarm eggs and the cheese wasn’t even melted. When asked to heat it up, I was looked at like I was an idiot. Then a “manager” came over to me and said that’s how they serve that and they don’t melt the cheese. Umm, sorry, not going back ever again.

Los Generales offers a classic San Antonio Tex-Mex menu with a cozy atmosphere, full bar, and patio seating. Breakfast options include the machacado taco with beef, pico de gallo, and eggs. The restaurant provides quick and friendly service, though the drive-thru can be slow. On weekends, it can get crowded during brunch. The flour tortillas are always soft and fluffy, especially the corn ones. Happy hour is available weekdays from 12 to 5 pm, and Saturdays feature $10 pitcher margaritas. Los Generales is praised for its flavorful food, generous portions, and welcoming staff. Customers enjoy the good menudo and caldo, as well as the good green sauce. Tacos are good, with mentions of barbacoa and asada flameado. Margaritas are great, and the service is exceptional. Prices can't be beat, and plates are huge. The restaurant is a go-to spot for a cheap, decent breakfast, with huge portions where two can eat for under $20. Chorizo & egg plate and tortilla soup are satisfying. Kids are content splitting a quesadilla, and some are big fans of the caldo. The staff's familiarity makes it feel extra cozy and welcoming.
