Tex Mex fare, made in house. Breakfast and lunch place, large selection of dishes. Great salsa and scratch made chips. Staff was helpful with suggestions and very friendly. Felt like a place the locals go.

The Poco de Todo plate was very good!Being downtown, parking is always an issue. But, if you are downtown in the morning, I would definitely recommend this spot.

We instantly were offered freshly made chips & salsa, tall glasses iced water while perusing the menu. . Prices are inexpensive, wheelchair & family friendly, homestyle, small square tables with well padded comfy chairs. A total of $15.00 for 2 lunches.My husband ordered a Beef Puffy Taco beans & rice. Taco was overflowung with beef & veggies topped with dollop of sour cream & 2 Tbsp fresh Guacamole, he said delicious! Fast, delicious, inexpensive and clean place. No frills. The staff is friendly and fast. The bldg is beautiful example of historic San Antonio. The access to surrounding hotels where you get gouged for breakfast of some muffins and Coffee and swanky river view.

Amazing food at a great price, but sometimes they don't offer chips and salsa to go before 11am

I was craving some food downtown. I walked upon Lula's and thought I would try the cheese enchiladas. Before my plate came out they brought chips and salsa and it was really really good. My enchilada plate was decent but I would have liked more cheese inside the enchiladas. I gave 4 stars overall for the price and the really good chips and salsa. Next time I will try a different plate.

After reading the reviews I decided it was probably worth the 20 minute walk and Lula’s did not disappoint. The puffy taco was hands down the best taco I’ve ever had. My waitress, Sunshine, was super sweet. When I’m back in San Antonio I will he coming back!

From one mexican restaurant owner to another, I must say I hadn't enjoyed great food in a long time besides my own.Coming from corpus christi, which their food quality is very low there. My family and I really enjoyed Lulas! Their Enchildas Verdes were ?amazing! Wish I could've ordered more than one! I had their puffy tacos too.Over all...great food! Thank you Lula for your hard work!

The best breakfast I've ever had. The staff was nice and the place had good atmosphere. The only drawback is that it's located downtown and you have to pay to park.

Ordered campesinos plate with barbacoa and got 5 little cubes of meat in the form of carne guisada. Getting the order wrong happens but the amount of meat they gave me was pathetic.

I’ve been eating at Lula’s Cafe for more than 10 years probably longer if I could remember what year I first had their Tortilla Soup.Now a days, I am here for the breakfast and lunch tacos, their OMG Thursday specials. (try the charro beans) and the lemonade.Especially tasty are the tortillas. That is what I like most, but none of this tops how well I am treated as soon as I enter the door.I feel like a mafia boss because they know me by name. ? anyhow, try this place!ZekeFeb 2022

We were venturing off the Riverwalk for breakfast and found this place. It is very basic but the pancakes and bacon that we hit the spot! Service was awesome!

Delicious at a very low cost. Friendly staff.
