😃Absolutely amazing food, and Ma is the sweetest woman ever.
Just amazing food and people- a hidden gem we are glad to have found. We are a little spoiled as far as food, and these folks served up some of the tastiest meals we have had in San Antonio, after 30+ years…

Went here when it was on WW White and Rigsby. The wait was excruciating, even though the place wasn't busy, and the food didn't taste like authentic creole cooking. Being from Louisiana myself, I know southern hospitality, and this place wasn't it!

The food was well seasoned and served with great hospitality. The only things I didn't like were the fake catfish (swai), the old cornbread. The boudon link was good but the meat was a little too fresh for my taste. The red beans/rice, seafood gumbo, and peach cobbler are definitely homemade and 3 things I will definitely order again.

Drove from Mathis TX to eat fried pork chops and catfish definitely worth the drive. Very tasty and delicious red beans and rice, gumbo and cornbread. Meet Mama Harper herself and her husband and granddaughter.

Came here two years ago to visit my granny. It was my first time in San Antonio, Texas. I heard Ma Harper’s had great food so I had to stop by. I got the fried fish and shrimp with red beans and rice and gumbo with cornbread. Everything was amazing, especially the gumbo. My granny was 95 and I found out her and Ms Harper are friends. I can’t wait to come back and visit. I’ll def make sure I order a gumbo to go!!!!!
