Dinner reservations before the Paul McCartney concert on Saturday. The place was small but nice and we were seated immediately. We ordered the Tosdadas Atun as appetizer and it was delicious. The flavors were on point and the only complain was that the tostada shell was stale i.e. not crisp. For entrees, we ordered the Cochinata Pibil and Flautas Pollo. The Cochinata Pibil was so-so. The pork was bland and portion was very small and you only get 4 corn tortillas for $36. The rice that came with it was very well seasoned but could not make up for the blandness of the pork. I am a big fan of Cochinata Pibil and it was a bit of a disappointment. The flautas on the other hand was very tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and delicious. It was very oily but not surprising since it is fried. The service was also spotty. The waiter offered to let me try the mole before I ordered but he never brought it out so we order something else. Also, we asked for some salsa to make up for the blandness of the Cochinata Pibil but by the time it was brought to the table, we had finished the food. The restaurant did not charged for the salsa. Overall, the food was a hit or miss. If you go, I recommend the Tostadas Atun and the Flautas.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, quiet, and peaceful. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was just okay. The only napkins were "bevnaps", the little square napkins that come with drinks. We didn't complain about the quality of the food, but should have. We just agreed that we tried a new restaurant, but won't go back.

We were so excited to come back because our first visit was amazing the food, service, everything was great! Sadly, this time was a totally different experience. Even though we had a reservation, we were seated outside at a small picnic table, which felt uncomfortable. They eventually moved us inside, but by then, all our food came out cold and definitely didn't taste fresh. Such a letdown after how good it was before. I get that the place was busy, but that's no excuse for serving cold food or lowering the quality. We've eaten at busier restaurants that still manage to serve hot, fresh meals and keep up their standards. Hoping this was just an off night because our first experience set the bar high.

We were disappointed with the service. It was horrible. No hostess so it was chaotic. By the time we sat down we still had no menus to look at! For the price of the food you expect the service to be at a certain standard and it was not there. The drinks were great. The food was ok. Some items we wanted to order were also not available...

Our noise level was low because we went early on a Tuesday evening. BEST Old Fashioned I've ever had. Food was so well prepared. Fresh, delicious, beautiful presentation. I can't wait to go back!

The food was tasty , somewhat pricy for what we ordered my tortilla tacos were not very soft, somewhat hard to chew, filling was ok, tasty. The gorditas were much smaller that expected, filling was very good, our cocktails we'r excellent . The napkins are too small for the plates, not sure Will return

Overall, great experience. I had been here for beverages before, but not food. The dining area felt cramped, but it's small enough that it doesn't get crazy loud. I forgot my server's name, but he did just fine. Drinks were fantastic, as always. I felt portions were a little small for the price, but the flavors were good. Nixtamali is worth going to for dinner!

Honestly, it was such a refreshing experience. It's not just a restaurant where they serve you a dish, it's a culinary experience where they guide you through every plate like it was its own little story. Marvelous. Professional. Outstanding!

Over priced I would not go again or recommend anyone to go there. Not worth the price. The only good thing was the mariachi. That's all I order gorditas. Comes with 2 they the size of a mazapan n doesn't come with rice or beans nothing. It a snack not a dinner n it was 21 dollars I simple quesadilla regular size tortilla 10 dollars n 8oz lemonade 9 dollars . U will leave hungry. Skip this place go to tequila on marbach 1694 worth every penny. If i go nixtamal just sit by bar n order a glass of water or one beer n that's all. Don't eat there

Worst tacos ever. At 9:45 pm, the menu was reduced to just three types of tacos, and there's no mention of this change anywhere on the website.

Love the food, love the cocktails, love the service-highly recommend. Quickly moving to our regular rotation of delicious spots for dinner in the downtown area.
