their coffee is delicious but the only thing is their hours are very inconsistent. on their instagram it has the hours posted but they don't stick to it. there has been more than one occasion where i make a trip out there during their scheduled "hours" and it's closed. wouldn't be a problem if they communicated that on their ig stories or something. and no, this wasn't when they were under construction or when there were issues. just regular normal business days. if it's your business and you want to open whenever you decide to that's fine, but don't let people waste their time and find out the hard way.

Best americano on the south side! I saw there is are also breakfast and matcha lattes on their menu, which I'll definetely try next time. I appreciate this little coffee shop on the south side, since there's not many options. They also have couches and desks for getting some work done.

First time in. Recommended by my sister. Boy am I glad we grabbed our coffee there. You just have to try it!!! The Mazapán at the bottom of your coffee is the best!!! Loved the banana bread as well!

Hold on while I take another sip of this DELICIOUSLY, SMOOTH cup of heaven! Not only was the location easy to find, but the owner was super cool and kind. He chatted with my boyfriend and I about how he got started in San Marcos and eventually ventured back to his roots in San Antonio. Welcome home, brother! I had the Mexican vanilla late and my mans had Abuelita's mocha (both hot). Each drinks was amazing and we can't wait to come back to try more! You will not be disappointed and I am so excited for what this place has to offer the community in the years to come. Way to go Azteca Coffee!!

Wow, this place is a must! We had the best Mexican Vanilla Latte & Abuelitas Mocha served with conchas! It brought me back to my childhood days at grandmas. Friendly staff with smiling faces made our experience even better! Support small businesses and try this one out!
Great iced coffee. Not acidic at all compared to another nationwide coffee shop. Definitely a nice place to go.

Wow wow wow! Cafe Azteca's Mazapan Latte blew me away! Cafe Azteca is a small coffee shop that makes everything with love and cares about the community. Tyler (the owner of this little gem) is amazing and he is always supporting the community through different initiative (voting registration, supporting other small businesses, partnering with nonprofits, etc). The coffee beans that he uses are from Oaxaca Mexico and he roasts everything in-house which I think gives that very unique flavor. Before COVID-19 happened, Cafe Azteca would also offer Champurrado and Cafe de Olla classes. I hope they start hosting a few of those soon, since I would love to learn how to make champurrado. The great thing is that they will starting selling both beverages by the gallon; perfect for fall!
