I was craving banana pudding which is a staple of the South. I always remember the homemade ones in Birmingham Alabama. I found this place on Yelp and decided to drive there. I guess it is only a drive thru. I tried opening the door and a sweet lady opened asking how she can help me. Banana pudding please. Without hesitation she asked for me to wait right there and she went and got it. It was fresh! Usually this pudding get soggy quickly. It looks like it was just made! Absolutely delicious! I will be back to try a full meal

How can you list $14.99 for a three piece plate with your choice of pork chop, fish or oxtail and then charge me $24 when I get to the register? Cashier said it's because I ordered fish. But the menu clearly states pork chop or fish or oxtail. I do see a disclaimer for the oxtail at the bottom of the menu, but not for fish. I would be ok a couple more dollars because of increases but $10 is not acceptable. I went down the street and ordered a huge 2 piece fish plate that barely fit in the to-go container for $14. I've had their food before and yes, it is good. But I also appreciate honesty and good service.

Don’t even try to come 15-20 min before closing they will put a cone in their LITTLE drive thru and throw attitude you can see in their LITTLE windows. You’d think they be open until closing to make the money they clearly need. This is why supporting black owned businesses is a challenge. I’ll for sure take my business & money else where.

Wow, as a native New Yorker who moved away a decade ago, I've been craving authentic soul food, but nothing has quite hit the spot until now! Every bite of this meal was unbelievably delicious. It's definitely going to become a must-have for my cheat days!

This was my first and last time going there. First off they messed up on my order. Second the Macncheese was a little watery and the sweet potatoes didn't taste the way they were supposed to taste so that is why my review is what it is.

I ordered the 1 meat plate (chicken) and my sides were collards and fried okra. Absolutely delicious. Well seasoned, SUPER crispy (passed the "scrape" test) and juicy. I typically only eat wings and legs but forgot to request these. But it didn't matter because I devoured that chicken thigh with no problem, lol. Cornbread was good and I generally prefer more tart lemonade but no complaints about what I was served. And the cashier was an absolute SWEETHEART. I recommend and plan to return in the near future.

I order from here all of the time. I love it! My food is always cooked to perfection. Unfortunately there was a drastic price change on everything I eat that is probably going to make today the last time I order from here.I always get the catfish. Now it is a 4 dollar up charge to have it. $11 plate is now $15! $14 plate $18 and you only get one piece of fish! The greens are now extra $4 in your combo but can’t buy it separately. What used to be a $14 plate for me is now $22. That is a wild price jump for nothing extra! ?
