There seems to be a shocking dearth of real tex-mex food restaurants around the UTSA area. Matamoros had solid food. The veggie fajitas were fantastic and the beef fajitas were excellent. Chile con queso was outstanding! Chips were fresh and the salsa tasty. The enchiladas verdes were very flavorful, but had no spicy heat to them, which I missed. The refried beans and Mexican rice were decent, and the pinto beans were meh. Live music was playing and set a fun atmosphere, and...
Everything so far is very good. Alison is very attentive and great server.
