This was okay, we reserved for our 19th anniversary.. There was no Al acknowledgement at all. Our server was nice but it was slow. The food wasn’t bad but not outstanding. We were disappointed overall

We had a fantastic dining experience at Maverick. The ambiance is inviting and upscale casual. Our server, Brian, was fantastic. He made great recommendations and everything was scrumptious. The bartender makes an amazing old fashioned. Highly recommend it for any occasion!
Really amazing service by Natalia, she was very attentive, and greeted us upon arrival. We started with cocktails and had a variety, my favorite was the dirty martini. We had the delicious bread basket, beef tartare, octopus and calamari for appetizers, my favorite was the octopus and pumpkin bread, but all dishes were really good. We had Halibut and prawn, chicken cooked with lemon and capers, Brussel sprouts, and butternut squash soup. Dessert was cheesecake. We really enjoyed everything and had lots to take home. The ambiance was quiet, it was very clean, and we had a very pleasant time. Prices were good, a little under the average for downtown and South Town. We definitely will come again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
great vibe, great food, great staff ... they took note from my reservation about celebrating a birthday ... and recognized my guest ... making him feel special ... Thank you
The restaurant was flexible when we needed to move our reservation time earlier. The service was very attentive without being intrusive (waiter even checked to make sure our soups came out hot). Pacing of courses was good. Everything we tried was tasty! Quiet enough to talk to each other. Would definitely return.
This was our first time there. Food was excellent. Our waitress was efficient and kind. However, she never offered us the daily special. I heard her offer the table next to us (after we had eaten our meal) and it sounded delicious. I was a bit disappointed in that. They also nickel and dime everything. Soda refills aren't free, which surprised me. I've eaten in plenty of high end restaurants where this isn't the case. Over-all and pleasurable experience.

Went to celebrate my 23rd birthday at Maverick’s. Parking was a little confusing the lot right next store to them is not their lot and you have to pay to park. Their lot is around the corner by trash cans. I was not walking around the corner at night to my car with my elderly grandparents. Valet was also not available. So I paid $15 for 2 hours then another $15 for another 2 hours to park because we were at the restaurant for 4 hours.
We arrived got seated pretty quickly because I called ahead and made a reservation. There were 8 of us. My mom ordered a soda and it took 15-20 minutes to come to the table. We asked and it was coming out late due to it coming from the bar. We were right around the corner from the bar 🫠
Food was decent. The bone in steak special was definitely not 18 ounces and they suggested my friend and I share. Let’s just say I am glad we had cake.
Now to the cake. I called they had a cake cutting fee and that the cake cutting comes with ice cream. I reiterated to the waitress we wanted the ice and were paying for cake cutting. They brought the cake we sang happy birthday. No one came… we cut cake started eating and halfway through eating cake she came by asking if we still wanted ice cream.
For the price point we expected better service and food. The atmosphere is nice a little loud, but cool. I just wish the drinks came quicker, the alcoholic drinks were stronger/bigger for price, and the service was better.
Overall, food was decent but could have been better for how much we spent. The service was terrible waiting 15-20 minutes for drinks, especially soda is crazy. Overall, will not be returning or recommending.

We dined with Chelsea at the bar, which is our preferred place to dine as it’s wonderful to talk with the bartender. Chelsea’s service was impeccable and she was a fantastic ambassador for Maverick Texas Brasserie. The food was spectacular including the French Onion soup, bread basket and the burger. Cocktails were perfect. We highly recommend Maverick Texas Brasserie.

Great food, interesting cocktails, chill vibe.
Some free parking, lots of immediate, adjacent paid parking.
Started w appetizers, gougères (think brazlian cheese balls), calamari w octupus and lump crab cakes. The bread bites were large and generous. The smokey flavored octupus was cooked to perfection, tasty, not chewy, flavorful and a nice addition to the calamari. Crab cakes were a bit small w only two pieces but rich and well balanced textures w the crunchy squid ink pasta.
Those at the table ate the burger and salmon. Presentable, only positive feedback.
The mixed grill included beef tenderloin, quail and duck sausage. Delicious!
I highly recommend the sides we tried! Roasted cauliflower w curry puree w raisins and almonds, chared serrano creamed spinach, brussel sprouts w hazelnut nougat, swiss cheese and balsamic.
Finished the meal with an amaretto cheese cake and little little ice cream sandwiches, perhaps croque glace.
The cocktails were well made, well balanced, high quality. Maverick, scotch based excellence. Reeeally enjoyed the spicy mezcal cocktail.
Only a couple of minor inconveniences. Didn't have the listed bottle of wine we ordered, ran a dish to the wrong table and had to remake it and the espresso machine was down but had some decent work arounds and managed to make a solid carajillo.
Comfortable, stylish, clean, cool music. Would go back, want to try more and would strongly recommend.
