Unfortunately, our date night did not go as we had hoped and was very disappointing from start to finish. We made a reservation, arrived on time, and were seated promptly. However, it took approximately ten minutes before our server came to our table to take our order. After ordering appetizers, we had to ask to place a drink order, as we were not initially offered beverages.
Our appetizers arrived about 15 minutes later, but by the time we finished them, our drinks still had not arrived. This was especially frustrating given that the restaurant and bar area were not busy at the time. After another 10+ minutes passed, I made eye contact with our server, who then stopped to speak with the bar. It appeared our drink order had been forgotten.
Eventually, the server returned to take our entrée order. My husband and I ordered a board that included steak, potatoes, and a side, and we specifically requested the steak be cooked medium.
What we received was extremely disappointing. The steak was overcooked, flavorless, and tasted like an unseasoned chunk of meat. The potatoes were cold, though the macaroni and cheese was decent.
When the server asked how everything was, I explained that the steak was overcooked and lacked even basic seasoning such as salt and pepper. He walked away and later returned with our drinks and a salt and pepper shaker. Anyone familiar with steak preparation knows seasoning should be done before cooking, not after. Even with the added salt and pepper, the steak remained tough and overcooked.
We were unable to eat more than 25% of the board. I attempted to take two bites of the steak and had to wash it down with water due to how tough it was. When the server checked back, we asked him to take the board away, as we simply could not eat it.
When the bill was presented, the only adjustment made was comping our two drinks. The cost of the food was not removed, and no manager came by to speak with us or offer an apology for the experience.
Overall, this was a complete waste of over $134. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The service was good, atmosphere was good as well not too bad. The food was okay nothing out of this world honestly. I eat out a lot but the food here was just okay. I do feel like it’s a little over priced, money is not an issue with me but for the food here not worth it.

The brasserie never disappoints. This visit I enjoyed the salmon with beurre blanc sauce and my husband had the NY strip with a demiglace sauce.
WHAT A WONDERFUL GEM OF A RESTAURANT!!! We decided to try this restaurant due to it's menu for Culinaria Week. The restaurant's atmosphere is so fun and the music playlist was perfect! The cocktails were perfect. The menu did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING and the portions were very generous. Our waiter, Cruz, did an excellent job making sure all of our needs were met and each of the food courses came out at the perfect time; not too rushed and not to slow. The pork schnitzel was a hit along with the amazing banana foster dessert. Our party is already planning our next dinner.
Kind of disappointed with the Culinaria Menu. The chicken Provençal was dry, and I really did not like the sauce. The schnitzel was very well cooked, but under salted . The Gruyer cheese puffs were tiny and unremarkable. The beef Bourgnon was very good. Dessert was great
We wanted an early dinner so we booked a 7:00pm reservation. When we arrived and pulled up to the valet, we found there was no attendant at the stand. We figured he/she was delivering someone elses vehicle. After 5-7 minutes of no-show, we walked inside only to wait for another 5 minutes for the hostess to arrive. When asked about the valet, she responded that he was back in the kitchen; he was performing double duty but she would get him. We almost left at that point. After having a drink at the bar, we were sat at a lovely table in the main dining room. There were not alot of tables sat at the time (utimately, the main dining room was fully sat) and we were greeted by our server shortly thereafter. We ordered a glass of wine and dinner. The food was good but nothing I would go out of my way for. Service was crisp. Might or might not return. Conclusion: Maverick is not the Maverick it was when it first opened. The food then was spectacular and the service impecable. Not sure what happened. They should really step up their game. There are too many great restaurants within a mile of Maverick that I would much rather visit.
Start to finish - fabulous! Music, ambiance, service, and scrumptious dinner. I'll be back soon.
