I'm genuinely surprised how a barbacoa taco can be greasy with absolutely no flavor, the flour tortilla was hard, the only thing in my taco with the most flavor was the cilantro and onion. The green salsa had a tiny bit of heat with no flavor also. A bit of salt and seasoning wouldn't hurt.

My wife had heard good things about this place for years and I finally tried it, I wish I hadn’t.

One pound of all meat barbacoa, cilantro & onions and a dozen tortillas was $38! I usually pay $10 less at much better places.

The barbacoa is bland, just tastes of meat with no seasoning whatsoever.

The tortillas were hard and stale. They broke as you folded your taco and felt like chewing cardboard.

The salsa was good, but one doesn’t pay $38 for salsa.

There is a prominent hand written sign that states, “No Refunds. Period.” I would imagine this is the warning I should have heeded.

Overall, I am thankful that I bought it on a whim and didn’t bring it for a family gathering, I would have been so embarrassed to have to feed this to my abuela.

First time here today and place has potential but the meat lacked flavor even for the “regular.” Place looks like a mom and pop place but was pretty dirty. The vents on the ceilings are coated in dust so can imagine that stuff falling down on food when the ac is on. I ordered a pound n half and got less than that. I weighed the meat when I got home with two scales and got scammed (639 grams = 1.4 pounds. Normally I wouldn’t be upset but the price per pound was 26.99 per pound so that is outrageous!!! There’s a place called Victorias tamales down south and you can get the regular and tortillas and sodas for 18.99. I would avoid this place and travel down south for the good deal. They don’t weigh the food in front of you so make sure you ask them to do that so you know.

Why does the sign say seven days a week and they’re only open Wednesday through Sunday and no tables and chairs like they used to have in there completely empty you’re not able to eat in inside

Most expensive breakfast tacos in San Antonio. 6.25 for 2 bean and cheese is insane. Dude at the front also will charge any amount he sees fit despite signage - el rodeo de Jalisco is less than a block away with better quality and pricing

Best food! Open Wed-Sun 6:30 am 1:30. Seriously must come and try it out! We found it by accident and now will make it a staple in our stops! Great good great service! 5 stars for sure!

I ordered one bean and cheese taco and one chorizo and bean and both were really good! The beans are VERY runny/liquidy though. That could be said as personal preference. The price came to around 6 dollars for 2 tacos. They're about $3 something each for some. There are other places you can definitely get them for cheaper but if you just need something quick, this is your spot.

The 2 guys working were very nice and fast, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

Overpriced and bland

Barbacoa and tamales had dry meat and tamales tasted off. I wanted to give this place a try but not my favorite. The only thing that I liked was the bean and cheese taco

Family owned, food made with love, great prices. The carne guisada with cheese is outstanding but, the huevos ranchers is a breakfast must!!!! Get it with a side of carne g, then it's nap time!

Paid $20 for 2 barbacoa tacos that were dry and bland and 2 Mexican cokes. I asked for the cilantro and onion to be on the side and was charged $1. Rude service and mediocre food. The only reason I rate this place 2 stars is because I actually enjoyed the extra spicy salsa they offer. Wish you guys the best but if you’re charging $5 a taco I would at least expect condiments to come included. Will NOT be coming back here.
