Incredibly delicious food, warm service, a fantastic experience, 10/10. Outstanding quality, local experience of Honduran cuisine you can tell your friends about. This place is fantastic, from the adorable neon adorning the exterior, to the warm smiles and service you get. Gets a monthly visit for as long as they'll have me.

Food was just okay. We had a new server in training and they were good, but lacked confidence.

Clark was delightful. Our table was way in the back - good noise level and the whole patio area is so pretty, it's like an afternoon on vacation in Mexico.

We made reservation for the Terrace, with the understanding this was in the main terrace, which we wanted to show our friend coming from out of town. We were given a table on the side terrace (not nearly as nice) and were told that the scheduling system was out of whack for some reason (though maybe a high-level gov't official's visit bumped us, not sure; or maybe we should have dressed up some more than we did). The vegetarian options are good but not great. The meat options seem much better (and people I have gone with enjoyed them somewhat). It is a great place for many reasons (incl. service, Mel was great), but the experience was just fine due to the above reasons.

The Green enchiladas were the best I've ever eaten. The service was wonderful. The churros for dessert. Were of special treat. This is always been one of my favorite places in San Antonio. It never fails to satisfy.

My husband had the Carne Asada plate. Meat was tuff . Did not finish. I had the Tex-Mex enchilada plate, ok.

I had friends recommend this restaurant but was disappointed in the food! Didn't like the smokey flavor of the fajita meat and the nopalito salad tasted more like green beans than nopalitos!

We went to lunch with another couple , to celebrate our anniversary . The menu was very innovative and all dishes were delicious, fresh and well prepared. Nice drink selection as well and we even had a cute little, handmade “ happy anniversary “ card sitting on the table waiting for us. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and so were the other servers. Excellent staff , we can highly recommend La Fonda on Main !

The service and our meals were outstanding. Our server Caleb was polite and answered our questions about the menu items. We will be back again. V/r: J & P

This restaurant is a San Antonio staple. The main entrees were lackluster. The salsa (that's no longer free) was good and the margaritas were great! The patio seating is always beautiful so this is always a fun choice to bring out of town guests. Next time I'll skip the food and come for the drinks.

La Fonda on Main is our go to restaurant for a special occasion or just for a good brunch. They accommodated our seating arrangements. Our server, Hayleigh, was very attentive and a pleasure to have at our table. The food was delicious and worth the price.

The place itself is nice. We made reservations and still waited 30 minutes to be seated in front (not on the nice patio). Margaritas were very good. We sat down before another table and ordered a $17 trio of salsa, queso and guacamole. They accidentally made two so they charged us and gave the other to the table that sat after us - on the house. When I asked she said it was their first time, I said it was ours as well and she said she was sorry and she could do a free dessert? We waited a long time for our food to the point where we almost paid for what we had and left. The other table was served first. Food wasn't anything special. My daughter had a chicken and avocado chalupa with barely any of either. The manager asked how everything was and apologized for the wait and where we were sat, but that was it. We paid full price and left. Pretty disappointing.
