First time dining here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The food was incredible, and the service was even better. Terrell’s hospitality is unmatched—his energy is high, his welcome is warm, and he goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. Every dish I tried was amazing; I’ve never had anything quite like it. The jerk chicken, rice and peas, catfish, oxtails, and mac and cheese had me in awe the entire meal. If you’re looking for great food and exceptional service, this is the place to be. Highly recommend! Big thanks to Terrell for making it such a memorable visit!

It’s delicious. Oxtails spicy falling off the bone. Everything fresh and amazing. Wonderful service and a friendly smile from the owner every time.

WATCH FOR ADDED TIPS‼️

My husband and I have been regular customers here for a long time, always ordering the same thing without any issues—until yesterday.

We placed our usual To-Go order of two plates. The cashier rang it up, and the total was $41 and some change. He then asked if I was paying with cash or card, and I said I preferred tap to pay. He responded that their tap feature wasn’t working but that the manager allows customers to pay via Cash App.

The cashier went to the back, and the manager came up, typed something in, and suddenly my total was $51 and some change. I was confused but didn’t question it at first since we come here so often. However, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a $9.41 tip had been added. When I asked the manager to remove it, the price dropped to $47—suggesting that only part of the tip had been taken off.

At that point, we decided we won’t be returning.

To the manager: As a fellow small business owner, I understand if the added tip was meant to cover Cash App fees. However, you should be upfront about it instead of silently adding it and hoping customers don’t notice. Had you simply explained the situation, I would have had no issue paying the extra amount.

Additionally, your employees shouldn’t offer alternative payment methods due to a broken tap system without disclosing that they come with extra charges.

To other customers: Double-check your receipts and watch for unexpected charges.

Delicious! We ended up here by chance but we will be back! Everything was delicious 🤤 even the side dishes had enough love and flavor to be considered stars of the show! The group of the three of us all had different things so we got bites of everything and it all was great! I will be dreaming about those collard greens and catfish.

Aside from the food the service was also amazing! We really enjoyed their care and attention to details. The place was full when we arrived but I’m surprised there wasn’t a line outside the door!

Customer service was excellent. The corner bread and collard greens were good. I got the brown stew chicken and an oxtail plate. The chicken was very sweet and overcooked. The oxtail itself was ok. Overall, it's not for me. They really went above and beyond to provide great service, though 👏🏿

Amazing Food & Warm Hospitality!
I had the pleasure of dining at Momma Luv’s Soul & Caribbean Food, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The flavors are out of this world—you can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. I tried the oxtails, and they were fall-off-the-bone tender, packed with rich, deep flavors. The curry goat was another standout—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff treats you like family, making sure you feel at home from the moment you walk in. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are equally amazing, but Momma Luv’s delivers on both fronts.
If you’re craving real soul and Caribbean food, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back!

One of the bosses at my job took us here and we got a sermon with our meal. Momma Luv is a delight. The food was excellent. Look forward to taking family there who haven’t been yet. Well worth the drive. Not fancy, so come as you are and I guarantee you’ll feel right at home.

I came here for the first time ever and the restaurant was clean and friendly. I was with 4 others and we ordered late online. The manager saved our food, and allowed us to eat in even after they closed down. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back!

The food was good. We came an hour before closing, so some of it was not that fresh . My Stew chicken ,beans and rich ,and plantains was good. My husband had the fried chicken ,okra and rice. The was fresh out the skillet. We also had the banana pudding. All I can say is Wow. The old fashion way.

The catfish and shrimp, and Chicken Stew, rice and beans, okra and cornbread were all amazing!!! Highly recommend this place!! Despite the size, there were well able to accommodate our big party of 10!!! Everyone tried something different and all loved their meals!! And great music playing so the vibes were fun!! We will DEFINITELY be back!!! District 5 Senior Center thanks you for your hospitality!!!
