Naranja Tequila and Mezcal Bar

I was looking for good Mezcal mixed drinks. They are okay.

Came here because it was open late. Food was amazing. Mescal was fantastic. Maria was the start of the show. She juggled multiple positions, bartending, cleaning up, serving, taking orders and greeting people. I manage a high performing team in my career. Maria is a high performer all the whole maintaining a polite and charming aura, not showing any frustration and I hope management recognizes this. I would suggest they give her the opportunity to get promoted, I understand positions don't open up frequently in this industry but high performers need to be rewarded.

We were here post-show at the Majestic Theater and had some time to kill before our reservation at Dorrego's so I planned to spend some time at the bar with my companions as I've read great things about it. And people, the hype is real! The bar opens at 5pm, open seating. We found Maria busily getting things ready. Once she was ready she greeted us and made us feel so welcome. Took our orders and got everything ready so quickly yet everything was beautifully presented to us. But the drinks themselves, oh my...so so good. With such great service and delicious drinks, we will definitely be back. And soon.

We found Naranja on Google and were excited to check out their selection of mezcal and tequilas. However, it was somewhat difficult to find since it’s located on the second floor inside a hotel. Unfortunately, when we arrived, it was closed for a private party, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere online or in their listing. It was disappointing to make the trip only to leave and head next door. Leaving three stars because we didn’t get to experience the bar itself, but the location and lack of communication were inconvenient.

Naranja is the real deal when it comes to a tequila and mezcal bar. Beautiful bar with a live guitarist. They also have tapas but the claim to fame is really the tequila and mezcal list that has a good selection of both of these liquors. It's a small bar, but worth the trip into Hotel Valencia if you like high quality tequila and/or mezcal. I really enjoyed my tequila flight and the food was good as well.

Delicious drinks inside a beautiful hotel!

The shrimp tacos, chips & cheese. Both were delicious. Tried new tequilas and drinks. Conversation was engaging.
