Delicious food in a very unassuming location (had to triple check my maps directions. Entering in the back door facing the parking lot was like entering an izakaya in a small town in Japan. We started with the vegetable tempura which I have declared the best of that dish in San Antonio. Then we had two mains, I tried the Suki yaki (beef with tofu and noodles) and my daughter has the curry rice. Both were excellent and we left with plenty of leftovers. Also, can't beat their prices!! Absolutely would come back here.

Niki’s Tokyo Inn is an absolute gem! The customer service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was beyond delicious, especially the chicken teriyaki — tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend doing the full Japanese dining experience; it’s authentic, fun and truly something special.

First time eating at location and I was not disappointed. Food was amazing and fresh tasting Service was wonderful everyone was so nice and friendly.
Food always delicious! Service is personal great gentleman son of original owner greeted us as if we were his guest at his home! Very attentive
No frills - spot on Japanese spot. If you want HUGE pieces of Nigiri and authentic Japanese entrees, this is the place to go.
If you want darn good sushi, come to this place. They don’t do the Americanized bs of cooking rolls with eel sauce and plates on fire so if you want that cheesy stuff go someplace else. If you want authentic, reasonably priced, delicious fresh fish in a causal atmosphere then come here.

always a great place to enjoy good food at a quality way higher than the price is. A real taste of japan with from a beautiful family operated restaurant.
This restaurant was quite good. The atmosphere was super authentic with options to sit at the bar, at a table, or on the floor. I chose the floor option because it's how I eat at home anyways and it was chill.
The food was very good, though there was a mild taste of plastic or chlorine, but then san Antonio's water is notoriously bad tasting so that's probably the reason.
I had the unagi don and it was sooo yummy. I always love good eel. Then I also had chawanmushi. I wasn't a fan but that's my taste. There was nothing wrong with the dish.
All in all a very authentic atmosphere and pretty good food. Service was slow but I also came immediately at opening so I imagine they were just starting the kitchen.
This place has been getting better each time I visit. I did have an issue a long while back but after giving another chance, I visit almost every week!
Stellar cuisine in a venue that feels like it hit its stride in 1978 and has never changed since because it was already perfect. Food is great and it is a stellar value. Feels like a trip to Tokyo. Will definitely be back.

Freshest sushi I've ever had, didn't expect that to be in San Antonio. Great for a hangout with friends for a date night. Will definitely be back.
