North Italia Reviews
So disappointed with our experience at North Italia at the Rim today. We went in specifically for their happy hour bottle and board special. After we ordered the bartender returned to tell us they had no house white wine available. Ok, then we’ll take the red, not our first choice but that’s ok. Unfortunately, she returned to tell us sorry they didn’t have any red wine either but would have someone check in the back. We waited patiently only to be told sorry the wine in...read full review
My car stalled right in front of North Italia in San Antonio at The Rim. I had my autistic daughter with me. I had lost my husband two months ago and I was in a panic and beyond stressed. I needed help pushing my car into a parking spot safely as my car couldn’t drive. The manager came out and helped push my car to safety. He offered us water or to make a pizza and I said no thank you that is very kind of you but we will come and eat inside while we wait for the tow truck....read full review

North Italia is a popular restaurant known for its friendly waitstaff and consistent quality. It offers a variety of delicious food and drinks. The Braised Short Rib Lumache is a must-try, and the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta has a good flavor balance—just the right amount of spice. The Caesar Salad and Prosciutto Bruschetta are popular starters, often considered as good as the main dishes. Unique options like white truffle garlic bread and olive oil lemon cake add to the menu, while the French toast impresses with crispy edges and hot syrup. Guests enjoy the beautiful covered outdoor patio, though it can get too hot sometimes, and the indoor space has an upscale atmosphere. The Prosciutto Pizza remains a favorite for its sweet and salty flavor.
While service is generally friendly and attentive, there have been some mixed experiences reported. Some guests have noted issues with waitstaff being forgetful or inattentive, which can affect the dining experience. However, there are also positive mentions of attentive staff members like Josiah, who communicate well with the kitchen to ensure a delicious meal. The management, including the general manager Eric, has been recognized for going above and beyond to enhance guests' experiences, showing care and attention to detail. The cozy setting makes it a good choice for both couples and groups. Overall, North Italia continues to offer a top-quality experience worth visiting again.
