The food is decent and cheap, but the portion sizes are smaller than almost every other Mexican restaurant I've been to. Still, it definitely wasn't bad. The only thing I didn't want to eat was the rice because it was bland. Their charro beans and carne guisada are both decent.
My husband and I visited while on vacation in San Antonio and we loved it so much we went back the next day. Cheap and tasty food and all of the staff were so friendly. Can't recommend enough.
A hidden gem in downtown San Antonio serving no frills Mexican food. Came here for breakfast tacos and was not disappointed. The Carne Guisado is amazing. I could eat those everyday. The flour tortillas is much better than the corn. Both salsas are tasty and the orange one has more of a kick. Don't let the look of the place turn you off...these are the best kind of place to get authentic food and at "not downtown" prices.
