Oblate Cafe Reviews
I came here before and had the absolute best breakfast tacos of my life here. The service was so friendly and prices were always great! I look forward to coming back every time in in SA.
Never in a million years that I have gone to this restaurant have I sat in there and waited for a server to take my order. I walked in and owner greeted us.We sat in front table and no one came but 4 guys sure got their order taken before I walked out. I guess my money was not good for this establishment.

Oblate Cafe is a neighborhood favorite known for its old-school atmosphere and friendly service. The Mexican plate #1 and puffy tacos are popular menu items, and it’s also a great spot for simple breakfast with nice prices and a wholesome family environment. The café has a small parking area in front, with around 12-16 spots, though there is a fee for card usage at checkout. Service is usually fast and friendly, and the food is on point, making it a standard for Tex-Mex in San Antonio. The cheese enchiladas are a nostalgic favorite with good yellow cheese, and the homemade tortillas add extra flavor to the dishes. The breakfast tacos are highly recommended, often called the best by customers, and the tortillas are so soft and good. The rice and beans are delicious, and the huevos rancheros with a side of country gravy is well seasoned and tasty. While some customers noted that the menu could include more vegetables, others appreciate the traditional Tex-Mex flavors. The atmosphere feels comforting and homely, making it a place where the food feels like comfort and the environment feels like home.
