What a cute little shop with excellent prices! I was pleasantly surprised to see they had gluten free options even in a separate case which makes my mind rest easy as I am allergic. They were so moist and yummy! I would also like to mention, they have 8inch cakes starting at $40 which these days is amazing. I will definitely be back based on taste and also to order my next event cake!

We had Lori at Oh Yeah Cakes make a gluten-free cake, and 10 dozen gluten-free cupcakes for our wedding last weekend. The design, flavor, and texture of everything was incredible. Guests were shocked to hear that it was all gluten-free! We had the carrot cake, maple bacon french toast, tiramisu, blueberry lemon, and strawberry champagne. We are so grateful for Lori and her staff for adding such wonderful treats to our special day!!

They accommodated me just fine and were able to take my daughter’s inspiration picture and almost match it completely. I did request a quick color change when I arrived, and they handled it without a problem. The decorator did an amazing job, and the cake looked beautiful. Customer service was also amazing. However, the taste wasn’t superb — I expected a more moist and flavorful texture. The frosting was good, but the cake itself didn’t quite taste like what I paid for. I also tried some cupcakes, and they didn’t knock our socks off either. Coming from a background of superb southern sweets and treats, I guess I just expected a little more for the price we paid.

Oh Yeah Cupcakes, located on Saint Mary's Street in SATX, is so fantastic! :-) I ordered from them for the first time recently via DoorDash delivery, and it was perfect. I chose a variety of their cupcakes for same-day delivery for my boyfriend's birthday, and they were so beautiful when they arrived (as pictured in this review - please note that the airplane decor was not added by Oh Yeah, as I purchased those on Amazon). So far, we have tried two of the cupcakes in our dozen that was delivered and each has been SO delicious - we are really looking forward to taste testing the other flavors that came in our very first order. I'm also looking forward to going to the physical store in the future to check-out the atmosphere inside of this bakery!!
My daughter's quinceañera cake was beautiful and tasted great. We received many compliments!

Great bakery in Southtown/ Lavaca area. Ordered a beautiful 80th birthday cake for my Dad. The cake fed 40 people and was shaped as an 80 covered in chocolate dipped strawberries, fresh roses, and macaroons. It was delicious! Communication was great and pick-up was easy. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Update to review - I will never go anywhere else for custom cakes. They absolutely killed my birthday cake 👏 ! It was beautiful and delicious ! I went with a Harry Potter theme this year for my 30th and my god I didn’t even want to eat the cake it was so well done. I highly contemplated buying an ugly cake for everyone else to eat so I could save mine. ( Harry Potter cake photo added to review ! )
I’m giving 5 stars because they did create the cake I wanted and it was ready when I needed it. The cake was delicious to eat and not just pretty ( we did confetti ) , and everyone loved it.
My only critiques would be that I had hoped the flowers would look like the example picture provided - so three big cherry blossom flowers instead of the smaller ones - and that the Japanese lettering on the front were a little more bold and 3D like.
Other than that they were super responsive via email. The cake was reasonably priced! I’ve also ordered a birthday cake for myself so I will be updating this once it’s received on Friday 6/27/25.
I had also picked up some cupcakes SAT 6/21. Those were super yummy ! So if you don’t get a cake then I’d at least recommend the cup cakes !

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Plus, the cupcakes turned out to be a hit with my guests; they were truly delicious!
