One of our favorite places to eat especially for special occasions. Wife had the shrimp paesano which is absolutely delicious. I had the lasagna which is the best I have had at any Italian restaurant.

It was my first time eating at this restaurant and it was amazing eating there. The customer service was so good and our server was amazing. 10 out of 10. Definitely will be back..

This is one of those places that screams fancy but the reality is different from that. The bread was rock hard like you have to chew really good to eat it. The chicken with mushrooms was terrible I sent it back and then the chicken on my alfredo and the mushroom dish tasted rotten. The only good things were the calamari and the drinks

W.O.W. You cannot miss this place! Shrimp Paesano - delish! Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp - BEST EVER! We were greeted so kindly at the door and seated right away. Our server, Mike, was kind, helpful, and awesome!

The service is nothing to rage about it. It’s good. It’s fine. Same goes for the atmosphere. The food however is no bueno. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and like it was cooked eggplant with an abundance of tomato sauce and globs of cheese which you might think is a good but no because that’s all it tasted like. I could barely find the eggplant under all that. I also ordered the shrimp paseando which is five breaded shrimp with an insane amount of pasta, probably Barilla at best, with butter. And there were other sauces to choose but really I can’t imagine any of them being any better. Too much pasta, and yeah I know I don’t have to eat it but then I don’t want it on my plate. And for the price!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous.

I had the paesano red snapper. A bit overcooked and it could have come with more of the sauce. My two good friends thoroughly enjoyed their portions, cocktails and food.

We recently dined at Paesanos at The Quarry in San Antonio. Overall, the experience was good, but it didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by the pricing and reputation.

The service and atmosphere were enjoyable, and the Old Fashioned was well made. That said, for the price point, I expected a higher level of quality and execution. The olive oil tasted somewhat stale and lacked the fresh, robust flavor you’d expect from an upscale Italian restaurant. The pizza reminded me more of a premium frozen or box-style pizza than a handcrafted restaurant pie. Several of the pasta dishes were noticeably under-seasoned and needed salt, resulting in flavors that felt flat and uninspired.

Across most of our entrees, the seasoning was very light, and while the food was certainly edible and decent, nothing really stood out or differentiated itself from other Italian restaurants in San Antonio offering similar menus at comparable prices. The Old Fashioned was one of the highlights, although I was surprised they didn’t offer a smoked version given the cost.

In the end, Paesanos delivered a good meal, but not a memorable one. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it also wasn’t exceptional or outstanding. For the prices charged, I was hoping for ingredients and flavors that would leave a stronger impression.

Had the Wednesday lunch special, Salmon with stuffed shrimp over veggies. It was amazing. Also highly recommend the Paloma Italiana🥃

For lunch I had the steak Florentine and choose a salad and angel hair with a garlic butter sauce. The steak, I think was filet mignon, was covered with a delicious mushroom sauce. The steak was tender but dry and lacking in flavor unless you soak it in the sauce. The house salad was fresh but the dressing tasted watered down. I had one bite of the steak so fortunately the angel hair was delicious. I forgot to mention the bread and accompany oil mixture is the best I've ever had.
