This place has great all meat barbacoa. Its not too greasy and its very clean. The owners are friendly and prices are good as well. Plenty of parking.

If this is 5 star barbacoa, then drive to Charlotte, TX and try Enrique’s barbacoa because he will put ol’ Pepe to shame! Over all, it was good-ish barbacoa but I’ll try somewhere else before coming here again.

This has got to be the best place for barbacoa and tamales. My sister introduced me to Pepe's about 2 months ago, and anytime we're in SA for the weekend, I have to stop by to get their barbacoa special + tamales. Sadly, you can't find such high-quality barbacoa & tamales in the Austin area. I'll definitely be making another visit this weekend and can't wait to get their delicious food.

I ordered barbacoa and tamales last week but didn't get a chance to try it until today (it was thrown away by accident) and it did not disappoint! The barbacoa was delicious! Perfect amount of grease to keep it moist and flavorful. The tamales are also very delicious and taste similar to my families recipe. The service was great, I was going to be running late today and made a call to see if they'd still be open by the time I returned to this side of town and the owners set some aside for me. All in all this place deserves a 5 star for how amazing they are.

The Barbados is delicious!! The price is very reasonable! The corn/flour tortillas are handmade which make isn't even better. I drive at least 15 minutes to get this at least twice a month. They are open Saturday and Sunday.
