I ordered barbacoa and tamales last week but didn't get a chance to try it until today (it was thrown away by accident) and it did not disappoint! The barbacoa was delicious! Perfect amount of grease to keep it moist and flavorful. The tamales are also very delicious and taste similar to my families recipe. I promise you will not find better barbacoa anywhere else for years I've lived right down the street from here and never knew of this gem get there early if you want tamales tho.

This has got to be the best place for barbacoa and tamales. My sister introduced me to Pepe's about 2 months ago, and anytime we're in SA for the weekend, I have to stop by to get their barbacoa special + tamales. Sadly, you can't find such high-quality barbacoa & tamales in the Austin area. I'll definitely be making another visit this weekend and can't wait to get their delicious food.
