We visited this spot for a craving of Pho. I had happened to see it driving around earlier in the day running errands so we gave it a chance. We got there around 730pm. It was empty. But as you know, if the family has their kid doing homework in the corner and helping out, then it's gotta be good.
We were seated and server took our order quickly. She was very nice. Answered all questions. We ordered the Pho. One was the chicken and the other was the tofu/veggies with veggie broth. They were able to provide a veggie broth for the vegan.
Soup sizes were small or large with a $1 difference. I got the large and my wife the small.
The pho hit the spot. Tasted great. There wasn't to much of a difference in size. I could've gotten the small and still been ok.
I was disappointed at the prices. The base price for the veggie pho was $15.99, then they charged an extra $4 for tofu. Kinda upset considering all the other pho options had a protein already in them for no upcharge.
The restaurant didn't look Vietnamese inside. It seemed as if they took over either an older Italian restaurant or a Mediterranean one of some type.
Overall the food was good but there are cheaper options with just as good flavor in the area.

Never again .. not only are they pricey but I’m a firm believer in customer service . I was the only one in there ordering to go . I politely asked if I can get an extra container they put the soup in to share with someone at physical therapy rehab . The chic straight up told me no they don’t so that . I paid almost 20 bucks for soup and you couldn’t spare a plastic container that probably cost ya’ll cents to buy ? NAHHHHHHHHHH! Every other restaurant has had no issues . Stingy and pricey no thanks .

I’m Vietnamese. This place is a San Antonio 3 and a Houston 1.5. Reason…the price….$16 for a regular and $17 for a large…whoa…and the portions were not the biggest either. I got a large pho and it had the amount of noodles you’d expect in a regular. To their credit, their broth is on the better side which is why they got 3 stars and not 1 or 2. The pho also took 10 min…which is not that long for regular food, but common man…one of the benefits of pho is that that broth is supposed to be hot and ready to go. I also got an iced Vietnamese coffee which was another $7! Total bill after tip and tax, $31 for one person!

Its so quiet in here.

Also dont know why they have a literal child taking orders when he doesn’t seem capable of even doing simple tasks.

The food is quite expensive and the springrolls are the size of fingers.

Very expensive for the food quality. Ordered Pho and it was diluted. Ordered 3 different types (chicken, seafood and the one with all in) and all seemed like it wasn't fresh and tasteless.

Very disappointed, never will we go there again.

food was decent, service was fine as well. Just too expensive compared to many other competitors. Small pho is 15.99 and they skimp on the noodles. Did not appreciate one of the owner's red hats.

We recently dined at Pho Nguyen and spent about $130 for four people. While the staff was kind and polite, our overall experience was very disappointing.

A child around 11 years old, was helping serve our table. He brought drinks, utensils, but forgot things like straws, ice, and extra cups. While it wasn’t the biggest issue, it felt unusual and a little uncomfortable that these tasks weren’t handled by the actual server.

Once our server took over (an adult), it honestly felt like we were forgotten. After finishing our appetizers, the used dishes sat on the table—even when the entrees arrived. The server kept bringing out our meals but avoided clearing the dirty plates, almost like she didn’t want to touch them. We ended up pushing them to the edge of the table just to have space to eat.

The food also didn’t come out together. All the pho bowls arrived at once, but the fried rice came out about 15 minutes later, leaving one person waiting while everyone else was already eating. During the entire meal, no one checked on us to see if we needed refills or anything else.

The staff was friendly, but the service overall was terrible. For the price we paid, we expected a much smoother and more attentive dining experience.

This is edited to modify my review, this place has really good pho and bun Bo hue, but every time I try to go. It’s always closed. Even if I check the hours prior. They’re never open when they say they are and it’s unfortunate since I’m driving 20+ mins to the restaurant just to find out it’s closed. Food is good, but never open
