Pinkerton's Barbecue Reviews
🔥 Flavor: Perfectly smoked meat with a juicy, tender bite 🤤. The pulled pork is soft and full of smoky goodness, while the ribs are sweet, savory, and melt-in-your-mouth.
🥗 Sides: Fresh, crunchy coleslaw 🥬 and classic Texas white bread—perfect for quick sandwiches. Jalapeños add a nice spicy kick 🌶️.
🏆 Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authentic Texas BBQ at its best. Every bite is worth it.

Ok I write lots of reviews, I don’t give out five stars easily. If there were six stars I’d give them to Pinkerton’s ! Flew into San Antonio airport from Florida to see family and wanted some proper Texas BBQ. I read some reviews before I arrived and then also asked my rental car attendant and he suggested the same place I had scouted out, Pinkerton’s. The line was out the door at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night. It moved pretty quick. It’s about ten mins south of the airport...read full review

Pinkerton's Barbecue offers an incredible selection of barbecue food in a friendly atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and help guests choose their meals, asking about how thick they want the meat sliced and offering helpful suggestions. The restaurant is located in San Antonio, surrounded by trees and a small park, giving it a picnic-like vibe. The smoked meats are cooked to perfection and full of rich, deep flavor. The brisket is so tender it practically melts in the mouth, and the beef ribs are considered some of the best, with many customers praising their fall-off-the-bone quality. The menu focuses on meat, sold by the pound, and features sides with a bit of a kick, including jalapeño-infused options. The large Bacon Mac and cheese “baller style” is especially popular and described as incredible. Guests can enjoy a family-style experience with a buffet station filled with hot and cold sides like homemade potato salad, coleslaw, jalapeño cheese rice, and Texas beans. The dining room is decent-sized, nicely lit with natural sunlight, clean, and decorated with old family pictures, creating a warm and inviting environment. While prices are a bit higher, the high quality of the food makes it worth visiting. Despite occasional long waits, customers agree that the meat, especially brisket and ribs, are excellent, and the South Texas Beans and bacon Mac and cheese are crowd favorites. Pinkerton's remains a top choice for barbecue lovers and is a must-visit at least once.
