Must have the menudo! We always go here on the weekends to buy barbacoa. The barbacoa is clean and tasty. We tried the menudo this weekend, and it was delicious. Will order again. The lady at the window is super friendly!
Rios Barbacoa on Huebner is always 5 Star their manager and staff are always on point and very courteous. The barbacoa, corn tortillas, salsa, avocado and Big Red are always on point. Their barbacoa is never greasy and to me that speaks volumes…

This was my first visit to the Huebner. location. I was greeted as soon as I opened the door. What a refreshing surprise!
It looked very clean inside and the menu options were clearly visible. Business was steady, but there was no line. I as in and out in less than 5 minutes. And, they helped me carry my items to the car.
The food was awesome. I ordered menudo, barbacoa and chicharrones.
I definitely recommend this place.

Went to try this place out over the weekend and I was IMPRESSED!! It started with the awesome customer service as I got to the drive-thru window. I had my dog with me and the lady at the window was so sweet to us and friendly. She even gave my dog a few treats as I decided on what I was going to order. I ended up going with the barbacoa special with tortillas and salsa. Their barbacoa is juicy and tender but not too greasy AT ALL. Their salsa compliments the barbacoa wonderfully and isn’t too spicy. I would’ve liked it spicier but it’s a good and flavorful green salsa and the tortillas were good too. All in all… I think I’ve found my new weekend barbacoa spot! 💖 (it is dog approved as well. She LOVED it lol)

Forget about all other locations in San Antonio and drive down to Rio's Barbacoa, not only for the best food in town but an all-around awesome and friendly staff. My family and I have been coming here for over 14 years and the food continues to amaze me. Highly recommend ordering the number #1 special for a family of 4 but has other specials. When the whole family gets together, grab your Menudo, tamales, and carnitas (don't forget your Big Red) and enjoy family and make memories like we have for over 14 years.

I love Rios barbacoa and menudo but BIG BIG thumbs down on tamales. 1st and last time having them. Out of two dozen we ate two tamales. Big waste of money. They are very thin and allllll maza. ?

Rios is by far the best barbacoa place in town! If you’re looking for a place that has lean, juicy and flavorful meat, this is it. Don’t get discouraged by what seems to be a long line whether it’s in the drive-through or inside because I promise you it goes by very fast and it is so worth the wait. If you get down, they have free coffee and donuts while you wait to order! Rios has various packages you can pick from but also offer other things like Carnitas, Menudo, Lengua, corn and flour tortillas, avocados, and a variety of soft drinks. And service is always friendly!
