The Original Rocky's Taco House is a family-owned restaurant serving authentic Mexican food, available 24/7. The establishment may look a bit run down, but it offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where customers feel at home. The staff is courteous and welcoming, with Betty recognized for her exceptional service, often going the extra mile to help customers and create a warm environment. Meals are home-cooked and affordably priced, making it a good value for the quality. The restaurant is famous for its puffy/crunchy tacos, which sometimes resemble soft enchiladas. Customers have praised the carne guisada tacos as some of the best they’ve ever had—rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The menu also includes popular dishes like the 3 cheese enchilada plate, brisket taco, chorizo and potato taco, and bean and cheese taco, with the brisket taco being a standout for its tenderness and delicious spices. The homemade tortillas are highly appreciated, especially the corn tortillas, which are thicker and pair very well with dishes like menudo. The food is consistently good, with many customers noting they often leave satisfied and never disappointed. The restaurant also serves the Rocky’s plate, which is big and served on two plates—one with chalupa, puffy taco, and salad, and the other with enchiladas, beans, and rice. While sometimes orders may take a little time, staff are quick to correct any issues. The friendly, family-oriented vibe, along with tasty and authentic Mexican cuisine, keeps customers returning regularly, even during late-night hours when waiting can occur on weekends.
