Great place to get Tamales. They have been here for 74 years so that says something!!
We have gotten tamales here for years. We live in another part of town so we don't go as often as we use to. Went last week and they were just as delicious. This was the taste I've been missing. Highly recommend trying if you haven't 👌 👍 👏
Best tamales in San Antonio, period!
I haven't been to Rubens since I worked in the area 41 years ago. So I decided to try them recently. OMG, they were some of the best tamales I have ever had. Tremendous flavor and surprisingly a lot of meat. I ordered a dozen pork and finished them off it an hour. Im going back to try the other tamale fillings. Totally recommend if you are a tamales lover.
Shout out to the gentlemen behind the counter. He was super friendly and helpful.

The time we got there, tacos or breakfast items were not being served. Ordered tamales. Excellent choice. The tamales were still very hot and tasted exceptionally well.

Mannn I just ordered 1 dozen, and a half pork tamales! They are better now than when I was a child! Great flavor all the way through and sooo moist!

Tamales are good ..service sux couldn't even sell 1 small salsa . That's ugly even if ask to pay for it. Never coming back to this service
