We have been coming to San Antonio for decades. This was our first time to try Schilo's for breakfast. It didn't disappoint. We were greeted when we walked in and got seated promptly. We tried avocado toast and added an egg along with the breakfast plate. The service, atmosphere and food were great. Want to come back and try the root beer and lunch. Choice of 3 omelet, ham, spinach, and cheese, why was there a TOMATO on top? My long awaited sour dough toast was soggy because it was on the same plate. No to mention the hair that was on the butter patty that probably should not have been placed on top of my toast. I wasn't finished with my tea, the restaurant wasn't busy, but the server came and told me the TOTAL of my bill.
I took my trophy wife to the trophy room at Schilo's for breakfast. The food was excellent! The staff were friendly and attentive. The music was a little loud. Overall, Schilo's is our favorite restaurant in San Antonio!
