Went in for the kolaches and was very disappointed. It was my first time trying them. Got the cheese and sausage. Bought 8 kolaches and 3 apple fritters to share with my coworkers. When I first saw the kolaches I was amazed because they were huge. Once I bit into one the excitement was all over. The sausage was a tiny thing and harly any melted cheese. It was mostly bread. First and last time I will buy them. The apple fritters were very good. Should have just bought apple fritters...
I do not live close to this Shipley's Donuts, but I will drive out of my way to come here. They are always friendly. Donuts are fresh. This is a wonderful place and they open at 5am which is a major plus for me.
I absolutely loved this location. They have wonderful customer service, very clean and I was very impressed by the great variety in their menu. My family and I will definitely be coming whenever we come back to visit San Antonio!
