Shiro Japanese Bistro Reviews
I have tried almost every Sushi spot in San Antonio and Shiro stands above and beyond everyplace I have been to. Every single piece of Sushi was super fresh and just melts in your mouth, it is honestly going to be hard to go anywhere else after having been to Shiro. The prices definitely reflect the quality and freshness difference compared to other places and is 110% worth it.
We finally found our favorite sushi place in San Antonio at Shiro Japanese Sushi Bistro!! My tastes may differ from others, as I do not lean towards cheap, mass quantity sushi, or any place with a less than favorable health department score (e.g. issues related to insects, rodents, or food temperatures are a no go for me!). I enjoy super fresh fish, rolls with unique flavors, and favorable health department scores. Fresh sushi is not always cheap! We experienced great service...read full review
The Nigiri is exceptional. The dishes are creative and flavorful. We appreciate that Shiro uses the freshest ingredients and each dish is thoughtfully balanced. Excellent customer service and great management. It is always a pleasure to dine here.🍣 Five stars all around.

Shiro Japanese Bistro is a restaurant located in San Antonio, between the Pearl district and River Walk, offering a pleasant ambiance and atmosphere, with anime playing on a TV and outdoor patio seating on the Riverwalk. They have a variety of options on their menu, including vegan dishes, sushi, and cooked meal selections. The restaurant is known for its friendly and great service. The food is consistently described as fresh and full of flavor. Some of the best sashimi and sushi include the nigiri, the lobster robbery roll, and the kimchi roll. The sashimi is fresh and so buttery. The nigiri is a favorite, with warm rice and a light coat of soy. The hot line crispy gyoza are nice and crispy. The restaurant is a bit pricey but is worth it for special occasions. Shiro Japanese Bistro is an excellent choice for a dinner out with friends, a date night, or a special occasion. Overall, Shiro is a place where customers enjoy a chill vibe and a solid recommend.
