Great BBQ that was juicy, savory and cooked so well the pulled pork almost seemed to slide off my fork! The brisket was chopped into squares that were so tender and had a savory taste. Desserts were small portions but tasted home made. Definitely a place I would recommend and return to for some neighborhood BBQ!

I waited almost a month before posting this review, hoping to hear back from them after completing a survey and asking to be contacted. I have never heard from them, so thus the review. I made an online order to pick up on December 31st. I forgot to leave a tip, so instead of using curbside, I went inside. I had had foot surgery and was using a walker. No one greeted me, but it was early on the 31st and I kind of don't blame them because of working. The person that took the tip didn't even say thank you, and he looked like he might be the manager. I guess he wasn't impressed with my concern and effort with a walker. I picked up my order, and I found it difficult using my walker and trying to carry my food. I tripped on the rug by the door, but caught myself with the walker. The door was tricky to open with a walker and carrying food. They weren't super busy because only one table had customers, and yet not one person offered to help me. I could have easily stayed in my car for pick up and not worried about the tip. I think it's important to let people know when they do a good job and they deserve a tip, but I didn't deserve the poor service as an elderly person and using a walker. I was disappointed with the service and now the company didn't even contact me after I asked to be contacted. I didn't want to make this public. I literally gave them about 4 weeks to contact me. I'm saddened by the customer service of the store and the company.

Reviews are accurate. Just absolutely delicious food. We tried the turkey, sausage, chicken and brisket... Meats cooked to perfection, and so flavorful! Add to that the sides, also rightly done, the amount of seasonings just perfect. The pecan and apple pies we all in my family loved. Please, keep up the great work. We'll be back!

I’m really picky about barbecue, especially here in Texas. I love this place. It is so reliable, the food is outstanding, and the guys and gals who serve you are wonderful. It’s our go to place. Thank goodness it’s close by.

I ordered the three meat plate, with double brisket, which was an upcharge of course.
The part of the brisket that was edible was sitting in grease, but easily half of what I was served was pure fat. I fully understand that you need fat to make a good brisket, but this was ridiculous. Look at the first picture directly from their site, followed by the two from my plate, decide for yourself...

The brisket at Smokey Mo’s is the real deal. Perfectly smoked, tender, and packed with flavor — it just melts in your mouth. You get that beautiful bark on the outside with juicy, well-marbled meat inside. No sauce needed (though theirs is great too).

I’ve tried brisket all over Texas, and Smokey Mo’s holds its own. Whether it’s sliced or chopped, it’s consistently spot-on. If brisket’s your thing, this place should be on your radar.
