fried chicken fried chicken fried chicken done... thats all ya need to know! well maybe i'll mention the greens i stopped by about 2PM on a wednesday and was happy to note lunch runs til 3PM. one of the specials was 2 pc of fried chicken, choice of salad or gumbo side, fries, honey fried biscuit AND iced tea for... drumroll please... $12.99! for comparison: popeyes: 2 pc chicken, side, biscuit & drink + add fries $11.79 whataburger: fried chicken sammie, fries & drink $9.49 (no salad) so why get fast food when you can get hot, fresh food and more of it for about the same price! take away is available! i started on my salad while i waited for the rest, i got the blackberry vinaigrette - tasty but not too heavy or sweet. the very generous amount of lettuces were fresh & crisp and PACKED into the bowl, topped with cheese, red onions & tomatoes. the rest came out quickly, piping hot! the breading on the chicken looks dark - but its perfect! you can get spicy or regular, i got regular - white. the meat was very moist and the breading is so crisp and light! the fries are battered and stayed crisp after they cooled. the honey fried biscuit is great! a deep fried biscuit glazed in honey - crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside and not greasy. service was very attentive, but to be fair, the place was empty. but hubbie and i have been before and service has been always been good. spacious, clean, farmhouse style interior with outdoor dining avail. side notes: their tea actually tasted like well brewed tea and their greens are DELICIOUS! and other food items are available. but if you LOVE fried chicken, give theirs a try - you just might find a new favorite!

Finding good eats in SA!! Give Southerleigh a try! Our server Victoria did a great job in spite of the group size. Fried chicken good? mac and cheese was ok, greens texture was good but the flavor was a little to something? fried biscuits w/ the honey drizzle, sin? The frozen mimosa, definitely a yes! Definitely will return!

Firstly, I am a HUGE fan of Southerleigh at the Pearl. It is always good, service amazing, everything on point. I was so beyond disappointed in my experience here at The Rim. Boiled shrimp & Oyster: 5 out of 10 shrimp were undercooked and blue/gray on the inside.Chicken and Sausage gumbo: grainy flour taste not cooked out of the broth and ICE COLD.Ceasar salad: no dressingSweet and spicy collard greens: ICE COLD and tough, meaning not cooked long enough to tenderize them.Mac & Cheese: ICE COLD and bland.French whipped mashed potatoes: very bland, ICE COLD.Pepsi: FLAT**The chicken both fried and rotisserie were the ONLY saving grace***The table was not cleared between courses, so when the server came to deliver our mains, there was nowhere to put anything. Also, the 4 tops are the tiniest tables you've ever seen, and all the plates are oval shaped and huge. The manager was super sweet and apologetic about everything, so that's good. Just being such a huge fan of the original location, I was beyond disappointed. I hope I just went on an off day and they're able to get it together.

We had a fantastic Happy Hour experience at Southerleigh Haute South last week!I was in the mood for oysters and a beer, and they didn't disappoint! I really enjoyed their lite beer on tap. Refreshing, crisp, and it went really well with their $1 Gulf oysters for Happy Hour!Service was great! Atmosphere was great! The other food we ordered--meat pies and chicken tenders--was great! We're really looking forward to coming back ?

Had lunch yesterday with my Dad and sister. Love the atmosphere & the staff are all so great. Had a mix up with my meal(which I wouldn't have even realized myself). The manager had it handled before our first plate even hit the table. Guest satisfaction is clearly a high bar at this location. The food & portions were great. Can't go wrong with a deep fried honey biscuit! Fried chicken, fries and sauces were all delicious. Will certainly be back the next time I'm in town.

The server was very vanilla and dull. Made things awkward. Didn't seem like he wanted to work there.

Our server was very polite! The food, not so much. We came in for a late brunch, and it took a long time to get our food. The Sausage Benedict consisted of cold undercooked fries and overcooked eggs. Basically hardboiled eggs smothered in sauce. Yuck!

We were very disappointed on their St pattys day menu. “Green wings” were not green nor was the sauce. We waited over 30 mins for our wings that were over cooked. The shepherd pie was ok but the fries were great! We will not be dinning in again.

This is not the same menu as the downtown location so don’t expect a breakfast winner. You’re better off ordering lunch.

The food was really good! They were short staffed so the food took forever to come out.. but they were doing their best which I appreciate. The ambiance was nice, they were playing really good music as well.

We went here for a bachelorette party because it was the bride-to-be’s favorite restaurant. The entire staff made a special evening absolutely magical. They were attentive without being overbearing, the food was delicious, the drinks were so good… and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, they brought out the bread pudding! I’ve never had anything so yummy! Huge, huge thanks to the entire staff for making it a night we’ll never forget!
