Very bland over priced food. The dinner may be where the high ratings come from because the breakfast was not good. I ordered the chorizo tacos, appearance wise they looked amazing, sadly they tasted super bland, the potatoes they came with had even less flavor. My friend had French toast and fruit. It was a super soggy watery mush. We tried this restaurant based on the high reviews and maybe the dinner is where it earned the high ratings but if you have a choice for breakfast go somewhere else!

I stayed at the Hyatt Resort for a week for a conference and ended up at the Springhouse Cafe three times, once for breakfast and twice for dinner. While it is pricey, I feel the portions and the quality of food was well worth the price. Breakfast I got the avocado toast with eggs and it was excellent and way more food than I expected, I could only eat half of it. For dinner I had the burnt rub tips and the filet and both were fantastic. I'd definitely recommend the burnt tips, they were delicious. Again, they were an appetizer and I ordered them as my meal thinking I did not need much and I still couldn't finish them all; huge portions.
Dietary restrictions: Multiple vegan options as well.

Ribeye food is awful and chicken soup of the day, it’s disgusting. Plus service is time consuming, waited 47 mins to served the food. No justice for $70 worth of food. Not reasonable price, done somewhere.

This is located within the Hyatt Regency hotel. You will receive a parking ticket which the restaurant can validate for you. We popped in for a quick lunch. They serve breakfast earlier in the day, they close at 1:30 after lunch, and open back up for dinner. My husband had the hamburger with a side salad, I went with the Tuna melt with a coleslaw side. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The coleslaw was vinegar-based and perfect. The salad was a very nice one with mixed greens and it was nice sized. The Tuna came with lettuce, tomato, and cheese on toasted Wheatberry toast. The hamburger was Angus beef, Applewood bacon, cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a Brioche Bun. The food was very good, and ww look forward to coming back to try their dinner menu. All the waitstaff were very nice.
The property is beautiful, and if you are interested in a stay at the hotel, they have a lazy river and a spa available.
Parking: Tickets can be validated for free parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Reserved Parking, front door drop-off, ramps, and elevators are available.

We’ve been Here a week in this place is a joke as far as food. Thank God they have nice amenities, but the food is terrible. Lubys has a better buffet then here.

Good food, just not the quality that would make the prices seem sensible. Considering that it’s a restaurant food quality means a lot.
This quality doesn’t measure up, and left two of us feeling disappointed after eating.

The service was great, but it didn't make up for diner quality food at hotel prices. Breakfast Buffet is great, other then that, I would avoid this place and eat at the outdoor grills.

It is one of the best hotel restaurants I have eaten in. The breakfast Chicken Fried Steak, Texas Eggs Benedict, and Two Eggs Scrambeled were great. The Texas Eggs Benedict, with my newly found Pulled Brisket, was one of the best breakfasr dishes I ever had.The dinner selections of Asada Backed Potato and Pulled Pork Sandwich were amazing. Both were some of the best I have had. Prices were very reasonable for a luxury resort. The atmosphere was very rustic nature. The views of oak groves, like in rooms as well, made me feel relaxed and one enveloped in South Texas Natural splendor.Trudy, who has been a server here for the last 25 years, is exceptional and very helpful in food selection and all the amenities the hotel has to offer.Overall, like the Hyatt Hill Country Resort resort itself, Springhouse Cafe is a must try while visiting San Antonio.

I drove all the way there and it was closed and it was 6 pm
I am somewhat surprised in a good and bad way. I understand that the pricing was most likely due to it being Christmas and there being many more options, but what I can't understand is how at $80 a head you end up with a mixture of stale bread, poorly seasoned potatoes, some salmon was overcooked and sausage was very tough to chew for my wife. I would say the majority of the food was good, but quality control should have been amplified for a breakfast like this. The service was exceptional, and in having a brief talk with the individuals making omelettes I learned they have culinary backgrounds. This leads me to believe management does care about who's working here, or it was all happenstance.Regardless of time of year and breadth of selection, it should have been better for the premium you're paying. Simple QA could have fixed simple errors.

Thought I would get better food at this place since the rooms are so expensive. Better food at McDonalds or any other fast food of choice.
