Sushihana Japanese Restaurant

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience from the moment we arrived.

When we entered, we were told that the bar top was open seating. Shortly after, I noticed a couple leave their seats and went to sit there, only to be told that those seats were actually reserved for friends of the restaurant owners. It was confusing because we had just been told the bar was open seating. We ended up ordering a drink while waiting for a table to become available.

After about 20 minutes, a hostess kindly offered to push a couple of chairs together at the bar so that my friend and I could be seated sooner. I really appreciated her effort to accommodate us.

Once seated, we ordered drinks, an appetizer, and sushi rolls. While our drinks and appetizer arrived, my sushi roll never came. We originally placed our order around 8:30 p.m., and the restaurant closed at 9:00 p.m. I wasn't served my sushi roll until after closing time. Waiting over 30 minutes for a sushi roll—especially one containing raw fish—is simply not a reasonable expectation.

Although I appreciated the hostess doing her best to find us seating, the inconsistent seating policy and the excessive wait for our food left us disappointed. I hope the restaurant can improve both its communication regarding seating and the timeliness of its food service, as these issues significantly impacted what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

This was our first time here, and we had an amazing experience! Our server, David, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and good-natured. The manager even stopped by to chat and shared that the restaurant has been family-owned for 22 years, taking pride in fresh, high-quality ingredients and you can definitely taste it. The atmosphere was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. This was easily one of the top 3 sushi meals I've ever had in my life. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing experience at Sushihana. The service was unacceptable from the moment we arrived. The older lady at the reception was extremely rude and unwelcoming. She wouldn’t even let us enter the restaurant, saying there was a 30-minute wait and that they would be closing shortly afterward.

Her attitude was dismissive and lacked even the most basic level of customer service. We were never given the opportunity to wait or discuss our options—we were simply turned away.

A restaurant can be busy, but there is no excuse for treating potential customers with disrespect. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Sushihana.

Excellent service across the board, a chill atmosphere that's very clean. Sushi and drinks are excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Great sushi! I tried several rolls and they were all very good. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

A birthday dinner celebration selected by birthday guy. 1st time there. My choice plate was so delicious as was the dessert.

10/10 experience at Sushihana! This was our first visit, but it definitely will not be our last. From the moment we walked in, every single staff member made us feel welcomed — from the host, to the bartender, to the chefs. The service across the board was outstanding.
A special shoutout to Josh, hands down one of the best servers I’ve had in a very long time. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience and accommodated requests that weren’t even on the menu. That level of customer service is rare these days.
The food, drinks, and pricing were all incredible — truly the complete package when it comes to Japanese cuisine. And those lamb chops? Absolutely to die for.
If you’re looking for amazing food, excellent drinks, top-tier service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Sushihana is a must-go. Highly recommend!

The food was pretty good but the service was perhaps the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant that is considered to be a high end place. I went for lunch with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. The waiter had 4 interactions with me. The first was to take our order, the next was to give me a new napkin because I told him I had dropped mine (I called him over as he was walking by). The third was to bring our food and the last was to bring my bill. He never refilled my tea and he never came by to check on us. I will never go back. A place that serves a $94 lunch should provide better service than a Denny's or an Applebee's.
