This place knows exactly what they're doing. If you're looking for traditional, street tacos. Look no further than Taquitos West Ave. A local suggested it to us and I was so pleased. Best tacos. Delicious! But I obviously need to brush up on my Spanish enunciations, communication and listening skills! I ordered tres tacos pastor. I "heard" the grill guy repeat back to me "tres" and QUICKLY received a plate piled high with SEIS tacos caramelized onion, radishes, cucumbers, limes, jalapeños....the works. This is one of my favorite spots to get fast, affordable street tacos in San Antonio. If eating there, you order your tacos at the window, sit down to eat, then go to the register to pay after. The restaurant is a bit noisy with loud music and lots of people around, so it may be best for individuals sensitive to noise and chatter to order their tacos to take out. The service is really fast, so make sure you know what you want by the time you get to the window.
