Tamales good...but...in the area where there is food being processed...there is a full size company van parked within feet of the prep tables. No joke. When you visit...take a gander through the windows where you see a garage door. There's people prepping food right next to the delivery van. If the Tamales taste smoky...well you'll know why. I don't think I'm comfortable eating these garage Tamales any more now that I think about what I observed.
Best tamales in the city. I have tried the other top tamaleras in town and I have and will continue to return to Tellez. ALWAYS friendly. Tamales are always consistent, moist and delicious.
The Tellez family is incredible! We came in to grab some food and as a northerner it’s difficult to find good tortillas or any authentic Tex mex. I ended up getting Barbacoa, chicharron guisado (new favorite), menudo, and of course their tamales. Amazing!!!!!
