Tried this place once. The food is subpar and overpriced - what's more? I learned that the owner, David is a horrible person. He is cheap, he withholds wages and tips from several of his employees and elects not to pay them when they choose to quit. To add, the cloth rags used in the kitchen are not professional cleaned but rather cleaned in the person laundry machines of his employees so if you get dog hair or something worse added into the mix of your food - you know why. I would not recommend....

The guys who work here are so kind! I ordered two chicken strips and got three sides. The ginger cucumbers are soooo good, they taste like my favorite sweet pickles that I buy from Whole Foods.

I also got the kale slaw and the curry corn. The corn has some spicy bite to it ans the kale was really fresh. The chicken strips are such huge pieces! Two is definitely enough for one person.

The wine machine though is the coolest thing. You buy a loadable card which allows you to try all sorts of wine!

The Thai fruit is sooo good. Refreshing and the perfect blend of savory and sweet. The tamarind dressing brings everything together

I have Celiac Disease and this place was a dream come true. I was visiting San Antonio on a short trip and was thrilled to find a place for me and my boyfriend to have a little date at for lunch! I’m very sensitive and symptomatic with any amount of cross contact, but I felt very safe eating at Thai Bird because of the kindness and awareness of the chef and worker! The food was genuinely the best gluten free food I’ve gotten since being diagnosed a couple of years ago. All of it was awesome, so don’t be shy and order anything you want. It was a little expensive, but I have no problem with it due to this being such a safe, dedicated facility with food that you wouldn’t even think is gluten free. Thank you Thai Bird for providing a safe and unbelievably yummy place for us gluten free people to eat at!

Coming from Virginia which is a 24 hour drive , I wanted some good Thai food so i arrived here at Thai bird. Long story short I received raw chicken wings, the lady working claims it wasn’t raw but clearly it was leaking blood. I don’t recommend eating unless you like bloody chicken wings:/ :/ :/

Thai Tea tasted like chicken. Lemongrass tofu was literally tofu chucks, a pile of rice, loose basil leaves, and a container of sriracha.

If you have a gluten allergy this place is for you.

Underwhelming. The tenders themselves were perfectly cooked, but tasteless. The sauces were decent, but overall this chicken tender meal + one side isn’t worth the ~$25 they charge.

I was SOO excited about this place was really looking forward to trying it.

Unfortunately their food was really disappointing.

The chicken tenders weren't more than half breaded so they fried up burned and chewy.

The flavor of the bits that were fully breaded was okay but way overdone..maybe the oil temp was off or something. The kale salad was alright but overdressed and not as craveable as I was expecting.
I can't imagine that's how they was supposed to be-maybe I caught them at a bad time (Saturday afternoon at 3?!)

Looking at the pictures on their website I'm guessing I got a bad batch (took them togo and didn't start eating till I'd driven off or I'd have said something) but I don't see myself rushing back to spend another $25 to find out.

Go have the PokPok at Benji's Munch for a truly unique and delicious thai-ish fried chicken meal!

Obsessed with the chopped chicken salad. The chicken is delicious, crispy. The dressing is just amazing on the curly kale. I love coming here just for this.

Australian Coeliac here! Was extremely chuffed to find this place. Food was delicious, had to go back again for more! Didn’t catch a name, but had a great chat to the lovely person working there who gave us many great suggestions for the rest of our time in San Antonio. Thank you!

Wow! What a perfect lunch we had. The chicken fingers, Thai tea, fries and ginger pickles were delicious. 100% gluten-free. The staff is extra nice. They even wrote a list suggesting places to visit next. So thoughtful! Thank you for a perfect experience during our trip.
