Reasonably priced food and drinks. Can be busy sometimes. Good playground for kids, although small

Let me tell you about Pigpen in San Antonio - it's the kind of place that steals your heart faster than you can say "oink!" The first time I waltzed in, it was like stumbling upon a hidden gem - fairly empty, which I secretly loved. But let me warn you, every other time? Jam-packed, and for good reason! Now, onto the main event - the food. I dove into a plate of wings and a chicken slider, and let me just say, yum, yum, yum! It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth that makes you want to dance a little jig of joy. Finally, a spot serving up killer bar food that isn't just another taco joint - Pigpen, you're doing it oh-so-right!And let's not forget about the libations. We sipped on classic cocktails and beer all night long, thanks to the fabulous Courtney, our bartender extraordinaire. She's not just attentive, she's like your long-lost drinking buddy who knows exactly what you need before you even ask.But here's the real kicker - the nachos. Oh boy, oh boy, were we in for a treat! Brisket on everything? Yes, please! Pigpen knows what's up, and let me tell you, it's a flavor sensation you won't soon forget. So, do yourself a favor and trot on over to Pigpen immediately. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you later!

The best thing about Pigpen was the pretzel. Nachos were ok, but the cheese was bland. There was nothing great about it, but it wasn't terrible. It was ok! Had the loaded Brussel sprouts which tasted more smoky than tasty. There is one play-set where kids are acting wild while parents enjoy themselves. I have been to better outdoor settings.

Not the best kids rude and kick you in the shins and food, not very good 1 starKid-friendliness: If your a 11 year old I would not like it just like my experience

Stopped in with a friend and had a good time. There is a playset for kids to enjoy. The food was absolutely excellent and the drinks were decent. The service was a bit slow for the number of people there. It looked like the staff had a lot of work to do which was sometimes prioritized over customers.

They were out of absolutely everything. No chips, no wings, no tater tots. Margarita was $5 but was terrible.

Best $4.50 chicken sandwich I've had in San Antonio so far! Loved the vibe at the pigpen! We at outside and enjoyed the heat & drank! The food here is perfect for the setting!

Great environment, food was fantastic. Way more than expected. We did the Sunday brunch buffet. So many options for both breakfast and lunch. Catfish was amazing. Definitely will be back!

A place that's more than The Smoke Shack's neighbor. The Pigpen provides a spacious outdoor seating area complete with a kid's playground. The food though! The brisket grilled cheese is to die for. Super rich, tender and flavorful paired with yummy thin cut fries. The brisket nachos were equally delicious topped with everything but the kitchen sink. The fried mushrooms, pickles and jalapeños (nuts and bolts) however, were super salty. The breading has great potential, but I was unfortunately not able to eat them due to the amount of saltiness. Overall, The Pigpen provides great food and great friendly service.

We enjoyed their Valentine's Day charcuterie offer and it was delicious. More food than we could finish. Also, devoured a fantastic pretzel from the food truck.Helpful and attentive bartenders as well.

The Pigpen Neighborhood Bar is my new happy place. Good food. Yummy fried okra. Friendly people. Good bartenders. Decent prices. And, the music I have been missing live music for a long time and am excited to have found a place that is what I was looking for--I just didn't know it.
