I’ve been here twice now and have enjoyed it. It’s a smaller, more intimate restaurant with a very sexy, cozy atmosphere, perfect if you’re looking for a nice date night spot. I actually came here with my girls for my birthday, and it was such a great vibe. They have a great wine list, fresh ingredients, and the food has always been enjoyable. Love this place and would definitely come back!

I don't normally write reviews unless it is really good or very bad. There are many good, Italian restaurants in San Antonio but unfortunately, this is not one of them. I'll summarize for those that just want a quick review. The food was cold, overcooked, and way overpriced for the quality. The server was sweet but very unattentive. For those that want to read my full experience, here we go. My husband ordered the tio steppi's shrimp ($32) which was overcooked. It was served over risotto which was also overcooked and mushy. The meals do not come with a salad. My husband ordered and paid for this separately. The Caesar salad was probably the worst we've ever tasted. I ordered the grilled rainbow trout ($28) which was severely overcooked and the portion size was so small (only about 2oz, if that). The fish was literally flat. I also ordered a side of angel hair pasta with lemon butter which was served cold. The waitress put our food on the table and left without asking if we needed anything else. When she did return, I let her know that the pasta was cold and she seemed annoyed. She brought it back with more warm sauce on top but the noodles were still cold. By the way, the butter sauce is not real butter.... I think it's butter flavored oleo (I'm not even joking). Also worth mentioning is the parmesan cheese. It's that finly grated cheese (from a can) that you would put on pizza. The wine was great! Overall, the food is low quality and definitely not worth the price. My experience with this server was my experience. If you do eat here, (which I don't recommend), your server may be better. There are too many good restaurants in San Antonio to experience. Good luck!

John Taffer says that if you visit a restaurant for the first time and everything is perfect, there is a 47% chance that you return. During my experience at here, very few things were perfect and I will not be returning.

The wait staff was slow and didn’t do a good job selling the food, wine and establishment. But after eating some of it, I think they were trying to warn us.

The meatballs were one of the most disgusting and inedible things I have ever eaten in my entire life. I cannot recommend NEVER coming here enough

This was our first time dining at Tiu Steppi’s Osteria and we were blown away. The ambience was warm and inviting, and Brian, our waiter, was incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout the evening.

You can truly taste that the food is made from scratch. I ordered the chicken Napolitana and it was absolutely scrumptious. Perfectly prepared and full of flavor. My son had the chicken Alfredo and was impressed with both the rich flavor and the generous amount of sauce.

The homemade rolls were also absolutely perfect. We honestly can’t believe we hadn’t discovered this place sooner. It will definitely be one of our favorite spots from now on!

The secret to this place - dont order on delivery apps. Go there. Eat there. The food is so much better in person. Friendly staff. Delicious meals. Prices are in line with a nice Italian place. Good wine selection.

This is our second time here. Our first time was fantastic. Food, service atmosphere. We couldn’t wait to be back. This time we had a waiter named Jesus H. He was just not attentive. Took forever to take our order. Didn’t check on us after we got our order. When we asked for things he would be walking by and never stopped to give us attention as if in a hurry. For the prices you charge we expect better service.
