Wednesday Karaoke is great. The food was awesome and drinks were perfect. The weather was great for an evening on the patio.

Great service and great margaritas. Ordered the Mercedes Margarita with Nachos Pila Alta or Queso with pico and ground beef. Favorite bartender is Yandelin.

Very nice friendly atmosphere. The food was good and the staff was nice. Our server could have been a bit more attractive, especially because it was not busy at all but other than that we had a great time. Perhaps he was tired or something, but I am willing to go back to see if they can up the experience with the complete package of great food as well as great service. To be continued...

Parking: It's part of a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking.

Kid-friendliness: Nice family-friendly atmosphere.

The food and service was very good. We sat and ordered at the bar with one of the best bartenders in the area. I can definitely recommend this location??

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Tomatillos Restaurant & Bar, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything about this place was a disaster.

First, let’s talk about the food—absolutely beyond terrible. The dishes were bland, under-seasoned, and tasted like they’d been sitting out for hours. My entree arrived lukewarm at best, with no redeeming qualities. I ordered what was supposed to be a signature dish, but there was nothing special about it. The ingredients tasted stale, and the overall presentation was sloppy. Even the chips and salsa, which are usually a safe bet at any Mexican restaurant, were a letdown—stale chips and a watery, flavorless salsa.

As bad as the food was, the service was somehow even worse. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The staff was rude and inattentive, acting as if serving customers was a major inconvenience. We waited nearly 20 minutes just to get our drink order taken, and the drinks themselves were unimpressive—overpriced and watered down.

When our food finally arrived, it was clear that the kitchen either didn’t care or didn’t know what they were doing. My order was wrong, and when I politely pointed it out to the server, they were dismissive and acted like I was bothering them. It took another 15 minutes for the correct dish to come out, and by that time, the rest of my party had finished eating. There was no apology or attempt to make things right.

To make matters worse, the atmosphere was chaotic and unpleasant. The place was noisy, but not in a lively or fun way—more like a poorly managed, disorganized environment. The tables were dirty, and it didn’t seem like anyone was in a hurry to clean them. Even the bathrooms were filthy, which is always a red flag about how a restaurant is run.

Overall, Tomatillos Restaurant & Bar was a complete disaster from start to finish. The food is atrocious, the service is terrible, and the atmosphere is far from enjoyable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I won’t be coming back. If you’re looking for good Mexican food or even just a pleasant dining experience, do yourself a favor and skip this place entirely. There are far better options out there.
