We took my Mother to celebrate her 85th birthday. Our reservation was for 1 pm - therefore we ordered off of the lunch menu. My mother and I ordered the lunch 6oz filet mignon for $34 each. However when we received our food, it was an overcooked piece of beef that was not what we ordered. I did not say anything as we were there to create a good experience for my mother. When we received the bill I noticed that the “overcooked meat” we received was listed as a $49 filet steak and not filet mignon. I should have mentioned it while there, but I did not want to ruin my mother's experience for her birthday and it was her first time at chart house. But our steak was not cooked medium nor was it what we ordered. We were able to use A1 sauce to make the overcooked steak (tough and dry) more edible.

Chart house has an amazing view gorgeous scenery especially at sunset. My only problem was the food it lacked flavor the kimchi, calamari was 10/10 that was the only good thing but everything else was flavorless from my filet mignon to the 3 potatoes garlic mash,I had to ask for salt and pepper to make it edible otherwise it was just steamed mashed potatoes you couldn't taste the garlic. My friend ordered the shellfish linguine same thing no flavor it was just butter noodles with shellfish and last but not least my dessert she said because it was my birthday I could choose a dessert yet was still charged for it. Add more injury to insult the cheese cake I ordered tasted very odd had a weird texture and taste almost tasted like it was made from a box mix. I recommend this place for the view but that is about it which is sad because I've gone to their Tahoe location and everything there was 10/10 but San Antonio please do better

Going to the tower is a great experience with the dazzling views during the holidays. The sparkling lights at night is truly a marvel. The food was good, not great. We had Prime Rib with asparagus and garlic mash potatoes. The meat was good, but I have eaten Prime Rib tasting much better and far less expensive. The potatoes had gotten a little hard on the edges but was still good. The asparagus was slightly limp but good as well. The waiter Seth was excellent and was always there when you needed him. Overall it was a nice dinner.

The wait to get upstairs was 30min. The view is really a great experience. The restaurant rotates and you are able to experience the downtown area views.

Amazing for an anniversary dinner. The cedar plank salmon is incredible! My only complaint is that one side of the rotation was HOT... very strange, but miserable half the time.

It was beautiful I went for my 22nd birthday the staff was amazing, the steaks were juicy and the cocktails were delicious!

Lovely dinner. Our waitress seemed to be new or inexperienced, some additional training could help her become very successful

Opentable Diner

Great view. Food very good. Nice people. Recommend for all of those reasons. I would avoid the alcohol drink menu unless you like very sweet drinks. Not for me so I don't want to make a negative review because of a preference of mine

Food was alright, but took a very long time to come out. Service was absolutely horrible, which kind of tainted the birthday sunset experience unfortunately. Also I would not recommend ordering a bottle of champagne... the corks of the ones that our waitress opened hit the next table (she tried two) which likely indicates that it got warm, and the champagne itself was somewhat flat. It also wasn't ice cold. Surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. I will say that the other tables seemed to be enjoying relatively decent service, but our waitress was not attentive and was overall unfriendly.

The view here is amazing but the service and food are really lacking. We waited over 20 minutes after being seated to have a waiter come to our table. The “filet” arrived looking like a hamburger and was overcooked. The manager, Emily, came to our table and awkwardly handled the situation by saying the filet is precut and is not a filet mignon so she wasn't sure what I was expecting. This meal was not worth the $50 price. Overall would not recommend this place, especially for the price. Just buy the observation ticket and eat literally anywhere else in San Antonio. It will be much better food and service.

Location, location, location. That's about all this venue has for itself. Made reservations, but sat an hour late. Service from beginning,to end was not that great particularly at the bar before making our way to the restaurant. The food was good, but about normal as other venues. Disappointed in the restaurant, but love lived loved the view.

Our server Jarvis was outstanding and the manager Mike welcomed us warmly. The prime rib was perfectly rare . Cocktails well done. If a couple..ask for the “nook” seating
