Tre Trattoria Reviews
Our reservation got mixed up, so we ended up outside without a heater until we were almost done eating. We booked for 9:30pm, thinking it'd be fine since they had reservations till 10pm.
We asked about the kitchen closing, and while they weren't shutting down yet, the hostess wasn't very friendly about us showing up. We knew what we wanted, so we ordered quickly and left before 10pm.

Tre Trattoria, located downtown near the Riverwalk, offers a pleasant outdoor scenery and a delightful dining experience. The restaurant features a variety of dishes, including the cacio e pepe deviled eggs, known for their flavor and generous garnish of fresh parmesan. Popular entrees include the Campanelle Bolognese, which hits that soulful, slow-cooked spot, and the rich, flavorful white truffle radiatore. Diners have also enjoyed the gnocchi, which was noted for its delightful taste alongside the bolognese sauce. The handmade pasta dishes stand out with distinct flavors and are made to perfection. The wild mushroom risotto with white truffle crema is described as melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Guests praise the excellent service, with staff making them feel at home, and note that servers are very knowledgeable. The service can be slower when busy, especially during peak hours, but staff like Ramy do a superior job explaining the menu and anticipating needs. The restaurant is known for its creative, delicious food and helpful, friendly service. Many visitors appreciate the location and the pasta, with some missing certain dishes like the grilled cheese with tomato jam. The open kitchen concept is popular, though the building’s exhaust system can make indoor and balcony areas less comfortable. Diners enjoy sharing house-made flatbreads, fresh mozzarella, and comforting risotto. Overall, Tre Trattoria combines a slice of old-world Italy with a Texas twist, making it a must-visit for food lovers. Despite some challenges with staffing and air quality, it remains a great spot for special occasions and memorable meals.
