I recently dined at Tre Tattoria with two friends, and the food itself was absolutely incredible. I ordered the gnocchi, we had the bolognese, and the other friend went with the smoked Gouda white truffle dish. We also shared the slow-roasted tomato caprese and the pulled-to-order mozzarella. Every single dish was rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Truly some of the best Italian food I’ve had in San Antonio each plate felt intentional and indulgent. And let me tell...
Located on a quiet stretch of the Riverwalk away from the downtown chaos and overlooking the river, the outside patio is very inviting and relaxing. Tre, what a disappointment today. Our favorite place let us down. Bolognese was dry, even when asked for extra sauce. Then when they “fixed” it, it came out like soup (thin broth). The pulled mozzarella tasted spoiled (although they sent us a new one), and there was no AC. Our lunch was hot, muggy and uncomfortable. Not sure what is going on but seems like a lack of QA somewhere. Unfortunately, this visit really drew us away. Don’t think we’ll be back for a long time.
